I mean they are playing
getting meaningful minutes in the NHL
and getting better in a lost season
it's not like darcy is there giving them the Gogulla/Zagrapan treatment - homiedclown
just trying to figure out what 3er was getting at in his dislike of cozens |

beniers is an interesting pick...i see a lot of that michael peca intense, two-way puck-hound qualities...not sure what his upside would be production-wise, but he's got the makings of dogged, two-way center with a non-stop motor - Michael Pachla
He's obviously the favorite for buffalo
He's everything buffalo traded away in ROR plus you need a back up plan if jack gets moved ever
Then you have Guenther or Eklund if you need someone with jack or Dylan if sam stays at center .
It's going to be interesting to see where they go |

if everything stays the same and sam is re-signed, am of the opinion they keep him at wing...him, echl and skins should carry a huge load as the top line...and not only that, i think they could carry a huge load and be very productive |

at a glance he is doing as good or better then everyone after him in the 7-20 spot in the draft - homiedclown
He had 7 points in 8 games and was our best play driving forward up until the 6-4 win over the Bruins.
Two game set against the Rangers that line had a tough go but nice to see him drop the mitts and be engaged when he wasn’t having his best night.

Not necessarily. If they are keeping Sam as the 2C and playing him there then RW becomes our biggest organizational need. |

If the past 3 years have taught me anything: you don't punt proven players based on what you hope a draft pick will be |

If they win the lottery, I wouldn't be mad if they moved down to 6-7, got Wallstedt and acquired a proven NHL player as well. They can really go any position here imo |

I believe sam would be moved before the draft
If buffalo gets any Indication he doesn't want to sign long term or planning on going to Arbitration for one year deal to test UFA
You have to trade him then |

The Sabres should take the best forward available.
Reinhart, Mittelstadt, and Cozens all have position versatility. If they like Beniers the best, one if not two of them can move to the wing.
If they like Eklund/Guenther/Lysell the best, then they know they have 4 guys (once Eichel is back) that can play the middle |

you could probably pick a number of players in the 5/6 range and would probably have a shot at either guenther, eklund or lysell as there will more than likely be at least two d-men going top-3/4 |

It's either guenther,powers,beniers at 1 these 3 are going top 3 imo
That's true NJ,ducks need to draft and 2nd line center |

Edit-
I'm in agreement that you're trading Sam if he doesn't want to sign a reasonable long term extension. |

Once we trade Ristolainen for a late first draft cossa and you have a monster in the franchise |
