Interesting game. Devils alot faster overall than the slowest team in the NHL flyers? Still flyers a healthy 15 points ahead. Flyers 168 goals against worst in NHL! Devils 2 goals behind and the juggernauts Sabres 3. 🥳 |

Sabres are more competitive now than the Flyers are. And that is without Eichel.
How pathetic is that? - PLindbergh31
Not even remotely true. Flyers have had every chance to win enough games to be at the top of this division. The pissed those games away with poor puck management

They have lost 7 games by 5 goals or more. What other team in the NHL has done that? |

Not sure why he would, let him get his feet went down in the A. Bill even mentioned he had a rough first game or so. Id keep forester down too, he’s doing well, keep him where he is and let him continue to produce. |

I completely disagree. AHL is AAA with former and future NHLers.
They can easily bring him up, now, and see how he does, the worst that happens is 'oh well, he wasn't ready'
The best that happens is we see him as a lock as a future 1D. Right now. |

You think you are going to find out if we see him as a lock as a number 1D in a call up right now LOL, they should just make you GM! Oh well he wasn’t ready has derailed countless players |

There is no standings that list that info. NHL only goes up to 3 goals losses. Im not going to go search through 31 teams looking for losses of 5+ goals
They lost 11/19 by 3 or more goals obviously some of that is attributed to a 1 or 2 game loss + Empty net goals.
ARI who currently is 4th in their division has 13/22 losses of 3+
NSH has 12/21 losses by 3+
WSH has 8/13 losses by 3+
At the end of the day the Flyers gave a lot more games away then they got blown out of. Some of those blowouts were because they gave games away

Oh, that's right, Hockey is boring in Philly... - BadCowboyDan
It really is a boring product. Right now in Philly the Flyers rank five out of five pro sports teams behind the soccer team whose name escapes me.
Curling right now has more excitement than this. |

Don’t even think about it. This is a first class organization that Does Things The Right Way. Have they been mathematically eliminated yet? Time to win, baby. |

They MIGHT see him succeed on the top level right now sure. And show he belongs here.
And I said BEST case.
And derailed my ass, maybe who you're thinking of couldn't play.

Agreed, no reason to bring him up now. Though I have no doubt we see him before the season is over.
Let him get some more games under his belt before you throw him in to an NHL game.

I am too lazy/unbothered to do it for you, but you can simplify the work substantially.
This links to the entire schedule: https://www.hockey-refere...agues/NHL_2021_games.html
Download as an Excel file, then create a new column looking at margin of score for each game. Then arrange all data in ascending/descending order according to that column as primary, and then delete all data (rows) for values where margin is less than 3.
Then sort remaining datas et alphabetically with column that lists losers as primary, and you will see all losses by 3 goals or more for all teams in alphabetical order.

The Flyers goal differential is -36, which puts them with teams like the Sabres, Devils, Red Wings, Ducks, Senator, Blue Jackets and Sharks. Yes folks, its really that bad! And some of these teams listed are trending much better than the Flyers are. Yes, its puck management, but its a whole lot more.
Just go back and watch on youtube all of AV's post game press conferences from this year, and you will hear him say time and time again, "I liked the looks and grade A chances we were getting, but they just couldn't convert". This to me is the number 1 problem this team has to fix. Yes, the puck management and the defense are bad, and the goal tending has been subpar, but scoring goals hides a multitude of sins and this team just lacks that finishing capability and shoot first mentality.

How they rank in HDSC/game among all teams? In shooting % from the high danger areas?
Either they are not getting enough chances, or they are not finishing often enough, or both. Gotta be one of those.

If only we were lucky enough to have the best pure sniper in last year's draft fall to us...
I hope York is a stud for many reasons, one of which being I don't want to hear stories from Habs fans like I have to hear from Vikings fans. Ugh
Edit: not last year's draft, but you know what I mean |

In fact, I would go further and say leave the Phantom players a lone at this point. They have a good team and once the Flyers are done Allison can go back with them and make them even stronger. It will be good experience for them to learn how to win something, versus getting some games with the big club at this point.

Yes, I know what you mean. However speaking of last year's draft, the Flyers might have got a real steal with Tyson Foerster, he is certainly looking the part with the Phantoms right now.
