Boqvist has been their best dman for a month or more. How is time in the AHL gonna stop him from getting hit in the chin with the puck? Nothing you wrote made sense
- GPHawksfan

I've read reports where they hit more in the AHL than NHL because they can't skate.

Gallant would be a good start.

Selling or buying doesn't make a difference. Watching the team make the same mistakes over and over again either means that the players are not smart. Which could very well be the case. Or the coaching staff is telling them to do things that do not work at the highest level.

Two defenders pressuring the same player and abandoning the front of the net all of the time is something I'd suspect the coach is telling them to do since that isn't taught at any other level. Same for having 3 or 4 players below the goal line defensively.

JC is fine if he is there to encourage the younger lads and hand out fruit snacks and orange slices but they won't win consistently - regardless of what the roster looks like - if they keep defending as a team the way they have been the last 3 years.

The NHL is not binary. "Do this and you will be fine." If that were the case every team would play to a tie. Better teams make inferior teams look badly no matter how well they are coached and how smartly they play. Sorry, that's life.

Agree with on dach be better off on the lw but still to early in his development to be concern. A full training camp and hopefully a healthy and ready to go towes will help dach a lot imo.

Come back in three years (two short of where it clicked for Sharp) and we should have a better idea of where Dach belongs at the ripe old age of 23.

I guess we'll see, i don't think I've ever heard Kane complain about officiating
- BetweenTheDots

Same here I've never really heard him say anything like that. That's why I think he will get a pass. His comments were kinda of spot on regarding no call penalties. I'm not saying that they would have converted on the PP considering how well the shreds PK unit plays against us . But honestly no one would know because they were never given the chance. Those non calls took away from the game and potentially any momentum gained from a PP. And yes it could have gone the way also. Kane is working the refs for the next game.

Could we use a Busdecker to knock a few people down? The Rockford Icehog rookie RW I believe is a rough and tumble competitor. The Stat sheet appears to indicate he had a big game in tonight's win.

He was on a line with McLaughlin, whom is the real deal and whom I expect Bowman should sign to a contract. Silky smooth Theo writes of him. Diminutive player btw.

Busdecker is not a bluechip prospect but perhaps he has improved this season. Theo please let us know whether he is, indeed, a worthy prospect

Nalimov stopped 36 of 39 shots

For those who follow prospects, Boldy keeps producing points in his brief AHL stint after his collegiate career ended after two seasons. Goldy was about #12 overall for Minny Wild. I forget who after put on Goldy line, then this line really dominated this season. Goldy is talented down low and is a big size player. He has been good in the WJC. Expect him to be a points producer soon in NHL. Anderson Ek, Kaprisov both established themselves in NHL this season. Next comes Boldy

LATE ADD very well could see this headline next trade deadline: Hinostroza flipped again at a trade deadline. McLaughlin to replace him in Chicago
