So, what I'm getting out of this is that we should sneak away with a somewhat unorthodox Cup victory while we wait to become a truly complete Cup champion that is an all around nightmare to play against!

You basically read my mind.

I'm just saying all things are looked at with different lenses. At the Draft, they addressed some of concerns like size.

At free agency, I'm would assume they tried but lots of factors go into this like term and money and if the player is even willing to play in NYC.

On the Trade front, we love to play armchair GMs, but I don't think the franchise felt desperate enough to address this right now.

What if we went for one of the Tkachuks? Buch Chytil 2021 1st Nils

I think Ottawa fans would storm the capital if they traded Brady

Matthew could probably be had at this point, but he's got a 7 million cap hit next year with 9 million in salary, purposely done so he needs to be qualified over 9 million a year in 2022 to retain his rights

that's like one of those things, if the Rangers are gonna spend that much money on a player per year, it really needs to be a center

To me, first thought is that there's no way we should sacrifice our progress by throwing 4 high end assets at a single player, same as the Eichel idea. I don't see the desperate need.
Plus, both Tkachuks are essentially franchise players to their teams right now. I don't see either being moved.

Would love that but def not happening. I do see the rangers making a splash this summer. Not sure if it’s Eichel but can almost guarantee a big change to the forward lineup

I certainly can't rule it out. But, why? What need is there for a big change? We are basically nothing more than some game experience away from having the deepest forward and defensive line ups in the league. The grass is almost certainly greener where we are currently standing!!

I just think we need that type of player in t he top 9. Someone who can score but is a pain in the ass to play against. I really wish Kreider would just go back to Kreider beast mode

The Rangers are soft and with all the money they have in cap space this year and next with lundquist and shattenkirk coming off the books there is no reason they should not invest in a good hardhitting fourthliner and also go after Dylan Larkin rather than Jack eichel! 4 million cheaper and we won't have to give nearly that much up to optain him!!!

also have to find the right fit money wise though

it is speculated that the Flames will want to move Matt because of that contract situation, I think its starting to be felt that hes not a 9 million dollar player

what wouldn't shock me is if Ottawa actually tried to trade for Matt

I think we bring in a legit #2 center. Just my opinion since chytl seems better on the wing and then can shift strome down

Washington gave up a hell of a lot for Mantha,

I wouldn't be so sure about Larkin being that easy to obtain

Brodzinski on the top line. What a jump it is from the A to the NHL!
He did not look like an NHLer when they brought him up.

They must be slotting him into Trouba's role next to Miller with Hajek and Smith staying together
