He hasn't even played a full season in the NHL yet, and in junior he wasn't the guy in front of the net he had the puck all the time so he still has to learn. - GPHawksfan
I thought one of the reasons he was picked third was his high hockey IQ. |

Murphy’s having a tough night.
Beat along the boards on goal 1.
Fumbles the puck on G2, playing it after a Nashville high stick.
Gets completely undressed on G3.

DeBrincat after last game: "It sucks. We had a few breakdowns. About 2 minutes of poor hockey and they score 4 goals. We've got to be better."
wonder what he's going to say after this one. |

Shows the team has a long way to go to be competitive. Looks like they have ran out of gas as the season is coming to an end. I hope next year the Hawks bring Entwhistle up to play full time on the 4th line and send carpenter down the road. |

I feel more at ease when the 2 rookies (Kalnyuk and Bovquist) are on the ice, and even Stillman than our 3 veterans out there |

Wow! The Hawks spend almost the whole period defending. Pretty hard to score when you can’t get out of your own zone. Murphy , my grandson does a better job defending as a 13 year old ...terrible play with 7 seconds to go in the period. This could be the nail in the coffer. |

Rough period for Murph.
Not a playoff team, people. |

They never were. An unsustainably good PP carried them for a while. It returned to the norm, and they moved to their expected place in the standings. |

At least you know the Hawks are going to get out of their own end if the puck ends up on Boqvist or Kalynuks stick, otherwise it's just brutal |

No doubt. This is the softest team in the league with the worst coach and worst defensive scheme I have ever seen. I have yet to have anyone truly explain the defensive scheme other than it's some sort of hybrid man to man. The defense backs in on every play even when when we have numbers on the back check. Can we please get rid of Colliton. All he is accomplishing is to ruin the confidence and promise of some of the younger players. |

It might be the best situation - honestly. The early success gave the young'ns a taste of success...and put them in a position to play some important games against some teams that outclass them. That's great for growth.
But we also get a shot at a high pick, which we need! |

I say it's close but a couple of my favorite JP songs are covers..."Green Manalishi" and Diamonds and Rust". For me Lovedrive (the album) pushes the Kraut bangers over the top. |

Just noticed Detroit is above Columbus in the standings by reason of regulation wins. Bye bye Torts |
