Subban on what was going through his mind when Hagel scored:
"Oh my gosh. Just like, 'We did it. We did it.' It's an unbelievable feeling. I just wish there fans here to see it too."
I know that Lankinen is considered the starter, but I really like Subban's approach to the game and his team. He almost refuses to talk about himself or his game (good or bad) and keeps everything in the frame of the team as a whole.
I would not at all be upset with the Hawks keeping him around. |

Much, much, much different than Lehner, both physically and mentally. Subban plays to his athleticism, he needs to work on his rebound control. I would not be surprised if Seattle picked him in expansion draft, hope not. |

Hard to have rebound control when you play once a week. His rebound control was fine tonight. Not one goal was scored on a rebound. |

No, but all 4 of them were scored on a Murphy. |

I agree. Stan needs to give the Kraken a 3rd or 4th round pick to take Zadorov or deHaan. |

Hinostroza, whose second stint with Quenneville didn't go great: "It’s nice to be playing, it’s nice to have someone that believes in you. It’s nice on off days to get with the coaches and watch some video. They want every guy here to succeed, they work individually with guys."
I maintain that he is the right coach for right now. |

Vinnie doesn't read the BOD, so we must forgive his unconsidered statement. |

New blog! A recap of the Blackhawks thrilling come-from-behind OT win over the Predators powered by Hagel's heroics and Subban's perseverance in net.
Despite the victory, team defense was still a disaster.

With Vegas Subban would have been the perfect 2nd goalie if he could stop the puck a bit more in a game. Always stayed after practice if any of the guys wanted to work on something. Superlative attitude. I remember posting when they got him saying he was great except in the games. But as the season moves along he is making me eat my words so good on him. I'm not sure which goalies will be made available but he'd be a good get for the Krackin. |
