I was born and raised in Ohio and my mom and sister live in Battle Creek .. and I thought maybe I was pronouncing it wrong my whole life .. it's very noticeable

Battle Creek has the best air show I’ve ever been to (at least had). Blue Angels, etc. not to mention tons of cereal. Great town

Seeing us this high is the standings is awesome. It’s a testament that this team is getting better. I just can’t see any reason to be upset... bergerren, Raymond, Seider, veleno, rass, zadina, vrana, bertuzzi, Larkin, fabbri, hronek lindstrom, 14 picks in the next two years... were on track to be a great team in the next few years. Yes it would be nice to see us pick in the top 3 but take a look around the league there’s a lot of elite guys on teams that weren’t taken in the top 3... in today’s league all these guys are so close In skill it’s all about chemistry and culture. We will be back soon.

The future looks bright. I'm much more confident with Yzerman and Verbeek drafting than I was with Holland and Wright. Draper is still there. But Yzerman has final say. 👍

I still believe we could've challenged for that #4 playoff spot had we not been hit hard with covid to start the season. Plus the injury to Bert REALLY hurt us.

Considering the powerhouse teams in our division we did as well as I could've expected. I still can't figure out why we don't do well versus Chicago.

It’s a great testament to the Wings improvement, players developing, etc — big yay for that.

Before last nights game, I was and am rooting for the Wings to be competitive, kids getting more ice time, continued hard work, no serious injuries, and hoping for 0 points for the rest of this season. Even though I know they will get shafted in the draft yet again.....the higher the pick, the better. The only thing that SOL point is going to do is drop them further in the draft.

Sometimes having a Top 3 pick doesn't at all work out. In 1976, the Red Wings had the number 3 pick overall. They picked a guy name Fred Williams, a big 6'4" center. A can't miss. He played only a handful of games in the NHL and was gone, never to be heard from again. The again, a few years later, another top 3. They picked 3rd, Steve Yzerman. Picked after Brian Lawton and Pat LaFontaine. Lawton was number one and a bust. LaFontaine was was great, but never got to the promised land, a Stanley Cup. Yzerman won three and is still enjoying NHL success. It's a gamble. You might strike gold, then again, you might just get a pan full of rocks.

Yeah Bob Cole on HNIC used to say "Detroy-It" as well.

Bob Cole can mispronounce everything for all I care. Still the best play-by-play announcer in my lifetime.

Hey, guys. Working kate, but listened to the game. Disappointing loss. Vrana snagged an assist, tho!

Battle Creek had an awesome airshow! Selfridge Air National Guard Base had one, too. Great flight demo's. The 1st year the F-117 was acknowledged by the Air Firce, it was a static display there. MI has a legacy of power & pride in the military, so the efforts were always large to put on good shows. Traverse City had the Blue Angels fly there almost every year. Grand memories!

Fabs, good observations on what's coming to us, some really good players & a solid young core. And you're right; chemistry plays a HUGE role in how a team performs.

I always watched HNIC because our antenna picked up the CBC along with the American Big 3, loved listening to Col does his stuff. Funny how the dialects would come out; Detroy-it...like listening to Gordon Lightfoot talk-sing, ya know?!?! Funny, my wife give me ship when I watch hockey (says I say "hawkie", "aboot", etc...) because my MI accent comes oot!
