Once again Subban plays a great game gets the shut out the other night and Colliton decides to bench him. This is the second time he's done this now. The Hawks went one and seven after the Friday night March game against Tampa that he won all by himself. The next game The Hawks took a three to nothing lead against Tampa and that Sunday and lost 6 to 3 with Lankinen.
Of course there's a player on the Hawks tonight that is worse than our goaltender..... DUNCAN KEITH.

One goal defenseman had to go to the bench because he lost his helmet, the other your veteran defenseman makes a bad turnover, and the other defenseman falls down. I think that is more the players are not very good than a systems problem.

There’s the big picture. The picture isn’t making the playoffs this season, although that would be nice. The big picture is in a year or two. I think you will understand next year why Colliton is pushing the system he is, the team will grow into it.

Tough sequence on the 4th. Murphy loses his bucket - but even worse is Suters pass that misses a defencemen moving behind the net, turning it right over.

On the 5th, Dehaan has all day and can't pick his head up and make a play. Brutal. Looks like me in beer league. To compound it, Keith blows a tire trying to pivot, thus also looking like me in beer league.

Those goals aren't on the system, those were a touch of bad luck, and a whole lot of garbage hockey.

Still way too many "hope" passes. They make everything so much more difficult. Trying to pass through 3 defenders instead of making one or two extra passes and working harder to get out of the zone.

So much of what they do is just slow and easy to defend.
