So were you ok with Subban sitting on that Sunday game against Tampa when he single-handedly won the Friday game ? Even Foley stated that Subban should have been the first, second, and third star of that game. Tampa should have scored 10 goals with all their prime scoring chances. Hey.... I really like Lankinen and the year he has had, but when a goalie stands on his head and plays a fabulous game, He deserves the right to start the next game. JMO. It's called coaching... and sticking with a hot goaltender. - Hawkytalk
you stick with a hot goal tender if you're trying to play for a cup...not when the whole season is based on development. |

Absolutely not.... They have overachieved because of goaltending and surprising rookie seasons by several players. Now let's get a coach that can take this team to the next level. - Hawkytalk
Really so none of this had to do with coaching and player development. |

If you had to make the call right now, do you keep Suter? I do, but I'm a little reluctant. - Chunk
I doubt he costs more than $1.5, for that I would keep him. |

I was tagging on him all game also, but watching the way he is laboring to turn, I think his knee is giving him big problems, and he is trying to play thru it, ala Seabrook.

Yes, but on a 2 year deal probably around $2 million per season. He’s still 5th in rookie points and 3rd in goals.
Players I could see going? Strome, Kubalik, Nylander, Zadorov, Delia, Carpenter. |

I don't think Kubalik or Zadorov go anywhere both are young and improving players Nylander is a big maybe the rest I could take them or leave them .Got to win the next one or we might well start Delia the rest of the way .. |

Kubalik is the only player out of those 6 that I would really miss. I'd like to give Zadorov, Strome and Nylander another year to see if they could start living up to their potential, but wouldn't shed a tear if they're traded. |

New blog! A recap of the Blackhawks deserved loss to the Predators due to lack of execution, sloppy play, and constant losing of battles.
Plus, a look at how Hagel and Kalynuk's absences could shake up the lineup.
