if they pick a d, yes, we could see Fleury (RD) next year. pretty much the only one. maybe Brook (also RD), but that's a long shot imo.
all the other d prospects are LD and won't be ready for next season.

If they picked Weber, Drouin, or Price if he somehow waived, those would all be worth popping champagne to. If they took Chiarot that'd be good too. MB would protect all of them thought because he can't admit to this mistakes, hopefully it's not him doing the protecting.

Lafrenière is good but he is not a generational player like Crosby or McDavid, it was a mistake to think he would set the league alight right away, the jump between the Q and the NHL is huge, an adaptation period is perfectly normal

I wrote earlier that Perry is better suited than Staal at least the former played a few deep playoff series in past 5 years which is closer to today’s nhl
