Last night was the last day for waiver pickups in a fantasy league, one guy took Poehling at the last minute and wrote YESSSSS on the chat.

Need to mention that he's a huuuuge weed user.

well as an experienced veteran you'd hope he's able to evaluate his own play and be mature enough to admit it just isn't good enough... at some point if he's not able to readjust it'll become embarrassing both for him and the organization
- Pat1993

I'm also convinced he's actually playing injured so.... that has to be accounted for in the whole situation.

likely a combination of that plus him just being finished as a top-pairing guy.

he's a second-pairing defenceman now who just happens to make $8 million.

Ducharme should've let Weber answer the question concerning his health status, saying he's 100% seems to have raised more questions than anything

He’s gonna miss the game on the 21st since he’s travelling with the team but this is an opportunity for him to do what Romanov did in the bubble, practice, get to know the guys and learn how things are in the nhl
- Karine Hains

agreed

maybe he will get to see les rocheuses as well

Weber was "100%" when he was playing with a broken foot.

I'd say more annoyed of answering the same questions when he simply cannot use different players right now.

HE JUST CAN'T.

- Scabeh

They can. But it all depends of if MB send soneone back down to Laval. They could clear cap space that way and use their last call up on Caufield, but right now Ducharme is the hostage of Bergevin and Sedgwick

yeah, there you go loll... trying to avoid looking like he's reaching for excuses is one thing, but in this case they should be completely transparent if there are indeed lingering issues impairing him

my problem with playing Caufield right away is that too many people see him as the savior and not just another good player. People don't even consider the fact that he would be a rookie with everything to learn in the NHL. See Suzuki and KK.

Laval is having a good season. It's a good place for him to play, once he sees les rocheuses.

at the end of the day people's opinions don't really matter, it's how the player handles the pressure that counts. this is different from one player to another, and maybe Caufield is one of those rare guys that thrive when the expectations are high (let's hope so lol)

My boy

You can't manage a professional team under the opinions of the fefans. And Caufield isn't that much younger than KK btw...

but KK and Caufield are 2 different players, not saying one is necessarily more ready than the other but you have to consider it's a possibility... I'd like to see him get his chance this year but I won't be disappointed if they decide to keep him in Laval either

I know, but their way to the NHL have been different. KK was a year too soon, Caufield could have a shot by the end of the year. They are also two different players.
