i've worked at 3 different city run clinics over the past 2 weeks and the most common question I get other than if the clinic will accept walk ins is "Which vaccine will I get here?"

I asked one of the EMS vaccinators at the Malvern Community Centre who the craziest person he encountered that day was. He told me some guy wanted to know which vaccine he would be getting. It was Pfizer as all the city run clinics had been giving out at that time. The guy said he didn't believe him and asked to see the vial. That wasn't possible he told the guy. The individual doses are prepared in a different area adjacent to where the the vaccine is administered because several doses are made from one vial. Eventually the guy gave in and took it but still said he didn't believe the medic administering it. What the hell do you tell people who've already made up their mind about something like that? What possible motive could anyone have for lying about which vaccine is being given out? And if he was that concerned (about what who knows?) then why did he end up taking it anyway? People are ridiculous.

I absolutely loved the Larry Murphy trade. Mike Smith was Leafs GM. Holland didn't take over as Red Wings full time GM until the following season. Murphy was made to be a scapegoat in Toronto. Alot of Leaf fans couldn't stomach him making $3 million a season. The vitriol was real.

What I didn't understand was, how did he only receive "future considerations" in return? The Leafs paid half his remaining salary that season AND the next season when the Red Wings won another Stanley Cup.

Scotty Bowman had Murphy in Pittsburgh when they won 2 Cups so he knew him very well. There's no question a young Nick Lidstrom made Murphy look much better than he was. But Murphy could still play at a high level.

The trade was extra beneficial for Detroit after Konstantinov lost his career to that stupid limo accident. He was just as valuable to the Red Wings at the time as Lidstrom was.

My best Larry Murphy Red Wings memory is seeing both he and Lidstrom nullify the Flyers' infamous "Legion of Doom" line in the 1997 SCF. Lindros didn't score his first goal of the series until a minute left in game 4. That line barely had the puck in those 4 games. It was beautiful.
