So the Leafs are 5th in points percentage and give or take 1 or 2 less wins than the top4 teams...I think we all watch the leafs religiously compared to the rest of the league. Don't you think its entirely possible that the other top 5 teams lose games like this too? Or are all their 15 losses justified?

I think fans are just too hard on their teams. There is nothing new here.

I just took a peek at TB's last 10. They lost to CBJ...Is that justified? Their own fans were probably frustrated but we don't even have a clue.

It seems like every year we start strong. BUT when all the other teams start to tighten up and get ramped up for the playoffs we seem to fall off....? It has happened the last several years. Is it a physicality thing? Lack of defensive awareness or structure?

Also, if we lose again in the playoffs, I believe they should move on from Rielly. Guy cant defend OR QB our PP.. (runs and hides)...

I think the Leafs of the past have not been able to play tight hockey games and would routinely implode in the 3rd period. Couple that with poor defence and un-clutch goaltending and you have a recipe for early golf season.

The Leafs have definitely increased their grind factor from yesteryear (please Hyman, be okay!) and tightened their d-corps enough that they should get through a couple of rounds... but I'm not banking on it. Goaltending continues to be a question mark, the power play is a (frank)ing historic disaster, and some of our D-corps seems to be regressing.

Speaking of which, I think Rielly's days as a Leaf may be numbered. Would like to see him traded and bring in a guy like Hamilton, albeit, that contract could quickly turn into an albatross....

The “league” is whatever the owners say it is and they are making that point now.

The teams within the Super League will just compete in the super league leaving the national league without their main attractions. Let’s be honest , who gives a poop about West Brom or Sheffield United? But fans around the world care greatly about Liverpool, Man U, and AC Milan.

I think the owners have the domestic leagues by the balls in this situation.

Rielly continues to ‘turn the wrong way’ when defending on 3 on 2 or 2 on 1s. He is always going after the wrong guy... He did it once last night, I believe on a 3 on 2 and I just shook my head...
