Was there a timeline for an injury update on Hyman?

Teams always prefer to win the league over the FA Cup and equivalents.
- MaximusAurelius

The domestic leagues have to do a better job, if they do any at all, of revenue sharing and promoting some semblance of parity. Either that or get more billionaires to invest in teams and buy players as vanity projects to get the West Hams, Albions, etc... a championship.

OK, the Athletic has an article that explains it.

I'll be back in ten minutes with opinions that are only slightly more informed, but much more emphatic.

Works better the other way. Be more emphatic and slightly less informed

I did not see the game. Surprised by the outcome.
Are the Leafs the victim of advanced analytics. When I watch them play, they appear to be outstanding on puck possession...but, am I wrong, it seems most of the possession is on the perimeter of the attack zone.

Hyman seems to be strong in crashing the dirty zone, Foligno should help. But, is there not a role here for coaches? Would the Leafs not have more success if they just put more emphasis on crashing the net?

- spatso

yes, you are wrong (again)

14 slot chances for Matthews

Monday morning edition of fun with Excel:

If the leafs go 6-5 over their 11 remaining games, they would have 73 points.

Winnipeg needs to go 8-3 to get to 73 points.

Edmonton needs to go 9-3-1 to get to 73 points.

Montreal needs to go 13-1 to get to 73 points.

They need to beat the Jets twice this week, and then put it in cruise control.

- Atomic Wedgie

I want them to finish ahead of everyone in the East Division and not have to travel to Denver (there’s a song there) in the third round if they come out of the North

I'm just googling around now, but good lord, the system is even stupider than I thought.

Germany: Bayern Munich has won the last 8 in a row.

France: PSG has won 7 of the last 8.

Premier League: Combined, Man U, Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea have won 25 of the last 28 championships.

Scotland (ha!): Last time a team other than Rangers or Celtic won it: 1985.

Spain: in the past 16 years, only one team other than Barcelona and Real Madrid have won it.

Italy: Juventus have won the last 9 championships.

What the frank is the point of domestic leagues?

- Atomic Wedgie

Jesus Wedgie, didn’t you tear up a bit during Ted Lasso? What kind of monster are you? Based on my completer knowledge of English football (apparently that’s what they call soccer) gained by watching that show, there’s local value in having teams like Lassoville United

Where do you find that stat?

NHS has 8 scoring changes and 6 HDSC

So, he probably had 3-5 🤣

If there was an actual Richmond team, I'd probably cheer for it. It's a lovely part of London.

I once went to a pub there on the hill, overlooking the Thames. You'd buy your pint, step across the road and drink in the park. You could look down the hill at the Thames, or back across the street to see Mick Jagger's house.

Exactly. This is why owners are saying “(frank) this” and developing their own league to capitalize on revenue. Expansion benefits the leagues while at the same time diminishes the profit margins of the most popular clubs.

Shouldn't their God like team make up for a bad tender?

Their "complete gritty team" full of warriors.

And I heard on the Bill Maher show (so yeah, grain of salt) that it is now down to 6 in 7,000,000 - all female.

It's not a risk.
