Trudeau should have invoked the War Measures Act, get vaccines manufactured and tase the balls of anyone who doesn't cover their nose with the mask.

Anyone see this from David alter yesterday?

Leafs PP Units

🥅
Nylander
Marner-Tavares-Matthews
Rielly

🥅
Simmonds
Spezza-Thornton-Galchenyuk
Muzzin

Is nylander going to be tipping shots in front of the net? He might be to nice to get cross checked to the ice.

- bryant

The second PP will score tonight. First one will look like junk.

Unfortunately, you can’t just make vaccines.

Mulroney sold off our country’s vaccine capacity.

Then governments of both flavours ignored our vulnerability.

And here we are.

They just announced they are building a new facility in Ontario.

I can’t remember the exact date, but it will not be operational for years.

Tell us about the bunker again
- Canada Cup

Used C Can bought pretty cheap. Pressure washed, primed, painted and spray foamed. Bought a early 2000’s Mallard travel trailer with a bit of water damage, removed everything from inside and fitted the Can with all the furnishings and appliances. Made the Mallard into a flat deck for getting wood.
Rented a backhoe and buried 3/4 of it in a grassy knoll way back on the property. Small wood stove and basic solar.
Easy peasy.
It’s more of a camp/getaway for me. The wife was the one who started calling it the bunker.

I'd like to think we'll learn from this, but probably they'll close that new facility just before the next pandemic starts.

You should know I am the second-cheapest man on earth (dad is still #1).

The bar wasn’t cheap, but the gravel, decking and wood mulch was quite reasonable.

- Atomic Wedgie

LOL. Myself and father just might give you a run for your money. He hasn’t thrown anything out since the early 70’s. The damn attic looks like a museum.

No permit, no taxes for having a “Cabin” outbuilding on my property.

Plus it seemed like a cool project. I think a bit differently that the average feller, not sure if you noticed. I’m pretty low key.

I guess the dream is that your kids will play soccer on your gorgeous turf or some poop like that. But nobody actually uses their backyard grass.

Two years ago we put in an outdoor bar. It’s got a bar fridge and a TV. Four can sit at the bar. Two can sit behind without blocking the view of the TV. Many others can stand around.

Then we have a gas fire table on the deck with four lounge chairs, a high dining table with six chairs, a cheap fire pit from Wayfair with four Muskoka chairs, and a deck at the very back with a shed and a franking huge round sun lounge thingy.

And of course a bbq and now a pizza oven.

It’s no longer our backyard - it’s our family room and dining room from April to October/November (and more during COVID-19).

I’m kicking myself for not doing this when we bought the house in 2004. For 15 years we tried to have the stereotypical backyard with a green lawn, and we never used it.

- Atomic Wedgie

Other than my dog nobody really uses it.

Mind telling me the rough cost? I've got some areas to fill in around the edges after the fence goes up and I've considered just putting in fake grass.

He’s doing the wrong things in my opinion, Wedgie. He should have acted sooner to discourage indoor gathering which is what is driving infections but not have acted on outdoor stuff which many people need. No to big box stores except curb side, no to churches, yes to paid sick leave.

He’s been getting the warnings for too long and not acting.

A lot of small to medium businesses moved to this informally on their own. IE. stay home if you're not well ..you'll get paid and we'll work it out. It makes sense ...why would any employer want to risk an outbreak.

The problem seems to largely be with large employers ..which makes even less (frank)ing sense. They have the resources to fund sick days and they have more on the line should an outbreak happen.

I blame the penis-heads running those businesses more than I do Ford. (frank) them for being so shortsighted and greedy.
