So Edler has a phone call with nhl saftey crew.
how many games does he get?

Hoping for just 1.
He misses the next game against us, and then is back for his next two against the Jets.

Boston with Hall 4-0 - senstroll

I bet you the league waits to hear from Keefe on the extent of Hymans injury, and that weighs on how long it is. As is, even if Hyman is able to play next game, it should be a minimum of 2 games IMO.

Look, I haven't been interacting with this person on a political level and I'm sure as poop not going to take accusations of "racism" at face value without clear evidence that he is a bigot. Too often I've seen bad faith interpretations of views where one of the parties is called "racist" to shut down an opposing viewpoint (which very well may need updating).
- mjones242
It's Kaptaan.
He was banned for his racist posts.
But for some reason, Hockeybuzz allows idiots like him to come back as alts.
Anyhoo, on to more important debates:
White or black tape?
Not much of a debate. White on top to preserve your gloves, black on bottom to make it harder for the goalie to read. |

I take umbrage with that description.
Also, I extended my apologies for contributing to any kind of antagonistic environment within the forums. I also offered to discuss things with CC offline to come to a mutual understanding. |

I agree 100%. In any case, Rittich can be a good goaler when he's on his game. Last thing Leafs need to do is panic. They should just be looking to avoid injuries down the stretch and close out teams when they grab them by the cooch.
There was no reason for allowing a beat up team like the Canucks back into the game. They have to get that killer instinct and stomp on the other team's throat.
Thanks btw. I appreciate a civil conversation. - MisterBrown
Oh, believe me, I don't have necessarily the best civil hockey conversations track record.
The high danger ratio was ridiculous last night: 21 to 5. How can a team be this snakebitten? It's remarkable.
Killer instinct and confidence has been lacking. They need to figure this poop out before the playoffs. Here's hoping Rittich will be able to keep the S% above .900 and the Leafs can right their PP ship. |

This teams ability to make average goaltenders look like Patrick Roy on a consistent basis is both completely nonsensical and troubling. |

Take 10 top teams that step out of NHL, and have them set up a super league with no salary cap, taking away 60% of TV and merchandise income.
So basically Montreal, Toronto, Rangers, Chicago, Boston, LA, etc. creating their own league, taking away the 300-400 best players in the world with them.
Fans don't like it. It's only good for business, but nothing more. |

Its weird. Holtby made 37 saves last night. You'd think a couple more would go in with 40 shots. |

You don’t need an article to understand that the most popular teams in the world want the biggest portion of profits available. Why should they share billions in profits with the bottom feeders?

If the high danger chance stats are to be believed, it's beyond ridiculous that the Leafs are getting consistently Vezina'd.
Are the Leafs not getting enough bodies in front of the net? Do opposing teams just dial it up to 11 when they play Toronto because "(frank) the Leafs" is a real thing? Are the high danger chances the opposing team gets on another level of danger?
All of these things?
Or, is this just a case of watching games without any context of how other "top" clubs are playing? e.g. Leafs bias
All I know is that I'm finding it very difficult to enjoy this season as I'm taking these games very, very seriously. |

When he made that ridiculous windmill stop on Simmonds I was like, "fraaaaAAAnnNk off".
If I was a very, very rich man I would have tossed my beer right through the TV. Which makes me more angry: why am I not richer so I can afford expensive, childish outbursts?! |

So keep in mind this is a casual fan's perspective (I only watch World Cup and Euros - I don't watch league play) but it seems to me that the European soccer system is completely broken.
Doesn't it make sense to have a super league? As it stands now, there's never more than four teams in any national league that have any hope of ever winning the championship.
And I realize they are not big enough to be in a super league, but my favourite example is the Scottish League. What's the point in being a fan if you aren't supporting Rangers or Celtic? |
