Now they’re only allowed to stop cars if they’re suspected of participating in a social gathering. They’ll need to see evidence like 3 dozen donuts or half a lasagna in your front seat. (The lasagna could be racial profiling though) - Canada Cup
Cops and Bylaw won’t be stopping anyone up here, heard it straight from them.
Yesterday there were at least 30 homeless having a party (literally) in the park on Main Street. Not a mask in sight. They can’t keep up with that let alone start pulling over random “Folks” |

Oh, I agree, but you are calmly explaining the things you think he could have done better.
There’s none of that on social media.
And their communications throughout has been an absolute poop show.
His ministers are giving contradictory information at the podium, one minute after he has given his speech.
And what the frank is a grey zone? Who the frank decided on a colour-grading scheme that has no logic behind it? Is grey good or bad? Is red better or worse than red? - Atomic Wedgie
I don’t think I do social media right.
When it comes to Covid, I follow a few docs/ policy types from UofT but pay close attention to Steini Brown and a few journalists, particularly Bruce Arthur ironically. I almost never get deep into all the debates that follow where I guess all the fun is. |

Bruce Arthur has been a revelation.
It’s funny - the stoppage in sports last year really laid bare which sports writers could actually write, and which ones had made a career out of reporting the box score, getting their six generic quotes from players and coaches, and filing quickly so they could hit the Madison after the game.
Nobody has been better than Down Goes Brown.
Except Arthur, but that’s apples to oranges. |

Little bit early to be sending out the DC signal isn’t it?

But I’m not all doom and gloom.
Ordered some cheap LED lights for under the outdoor bar. Thought I was going to have to drill a hole or two, but found a little gap in the corner where I could feed the strip through.
I’ve now programmed the default colour to the exact RGB colour of the Leafs, and of course have ready to go flashing red lights for when the Buds score.
Bring on sunset. I am ready. - Atomic Wedgie
It’s such a mixed bag. I’m personally in a good spot. It’s been two weeks so vaccine fully kicked in.
Starting to build my outdoor garden and preparing all my seedlings to move. I’ve become totally obsessed with growing poop and have been eating my own lettuce every day for last two months. I’ve got a nice batch of Roma tomato seedlings, cukes and bean all set to go. First time I’ve ever done any of this.
But against this is still this poopty feeling for where we are and for how it’s getting (frank)ed up. To be honest, even if Ford did everything right it was still going to be bad it’s just going to be that much worse. |

Hey old feller. Hope you and yours are doing well.
Nah, I’ve got a wicked hangover. Give me a few hours and shots of Wild Turkey.
I will be ready for puck drop. |

Big night last night?
It’s funny - when I was in tip top shape, I never got a hangover. Used to make my wife furious.
Now that I’m slow and fat, the hangovers have returned.
If that isn’t motivation to get back in shape, I don’t know what is. |

It’s sleep for me. If I can get 8-10 hours I’m good to go. Anything less and it’s a all day thing and I’m a grump. |

Try clover mixed with grass seed. It grew like crazy and looked ok under the big trees behind the bunker. |

I agree. Nah my big mistake last night was using Pepsi and Ginger for mix. Then I had no Gatorade this morning. Rookie mistakes, all on me. |

I can’t believe I am sticking up for Doug Ford, but here goes:
Scrolling through Twitter and Facebook the last two days, everyone is criticizing him.
Fifty per cent say he is a fascist imposing draconian measures. He’s a Nazi, doing things strictly for power. They want him to open back up the economy.
The other fifty per cent say he has completely bungled this by not doing anything. He’s doing things in the best interests of his donors, not the public. He needs to get serious about COVID-19 - quit taking half-assed measures and start getting serious.
It’s all a little confusing.
Damien Cox is calling for revolution - but is still straddling both sides listed above. - Atomic Wedgie
Right now, he is the focal point for everyone's boredom, frustration and anger.
With a supply of vaccine that we must spread across the country, and that runs out every week, there is no way to keep everyone safe.
No matter which side he chooses, a huge portion of the population will yell and scream as loudly as they can.
At the end of the day, we are behind too many countries in vaccination and Ontario has had to close vaccination clinics multiple times because of lack of supply.
... and there is no million+ doses hidden in a fridge somewhere, waiting for Bill Gates to infuse them with nanobots, or some equally stupid reason, before Ford will use them. People have lost their minds. |
