I enjoy callers into TSN. Everyone loves saying the leafs can't compete with Washington and Boston after their competitive afternoon game yesterday.
Except, Boston doesn't have a great goalie. They did improve with Hall but the leafs have the same or even better forwards.
They then also say only the leafs are racking up points against teams like the Canucks and senators who are in the bottom half of the league. Nevermind the Sabres, devils, red wings, ducks, etc. - Aaron_85
And the Sens aren't the ridiculous pushovers they were early on this season. They are a hard working team and every game against them is challenge imo.
At least that's what I'm telling myself after losing 4-0 to them saturday.

It might be better than being up 5 to 1 and losing in OT.

July 1st, 2022: Vancouver Canucks press conference to announce the signing of UFA Morgan Rielly:
Farhan Lalji: When did you know your time in Toronto was over?
Rielly: It was when a fan on Hockeybuzz said Marner was better than me defensively. I knew then I had to get the hell out. - Atomic Wedgie

Both goals Horvat scored were to the same spot. if you watch the highlights earlier in the game he went glove but Soup got it... the next two opportunities were short side blocker... teams are getting a book on campbell now.... he's leaving room by cheating to the far side or his positioning is just off a bit. - MisterBrown
I noticed the same thing. The book is certainly being written and he has yet to make the necessary adjustments.
Hoping Rittich gets the next start and can put in a solid effort while Jack regroups a bit.
I am NOT looking forward to the Leafs panicking and inserting Freddie back in the lineup before (and if) he's (ever) ready. |

I also think there’s something to be said about rivalries within divisions, especially those that have not been changed by COVID’s shuffling of the divisions. Montreal/Ottawa/Toronto are all very used to playing each other so it tends to balance it out a bit. See the same thing in football all the time (I’ve made a killing taking the points on wide spreads on divisional matchups). |

We can just both agree its a hard working team you cant sleep on!
The same caller did say Price can absolutely win the series against the leafs.
I think most leaf fans would bet against them even after winning the cup. |

You know it's funny, despite obviously being in full rage "must win" mode against you guys, I've never truly hated the Leafs.
I mean, I hope you guys never win anything but it's not out of hate. More out of eternal rivalry.
The Sens? I despise this team, their players and what they represent from the bottom of my heart.

2 Wins, 1 shootout loss, and 1 loss (a very close 3-2).

I really dislike losing and have always enjoyed dumping on the Canucks but that was a pretty gutsy win last night |

I find it hard to hate the Habs because I love the city of Montreal. The culture, the food, the world class strip clubs. It’s fun for the whole family.
Ottawa is the NHL equivalent of the annoying younger sibling saying “mom said it’s my turn to play nintendo” |

OT is fun and exciting but its more of a crapshoot. Is what it is. Holtby also played well.

The leafs wont panic and risk further injuring freddy.
But im sure they are hoping he is ready sooner than later and that they are getting the freddy that carried the team the first 3 years of his contract during the reg season and not the up and down, down freddy of the past 2 seasons. |

I think he will help stabilize things.
However I dont know how they take him off LTIR prior to playoffs.
