Trade bad older players with high salary and lengthy term for great young players on their rookie deal. There, all problems solved.

Lindblom will be protected.

F1 Giroux (NMC)
F2 Hayes (NMC)
F3 Couturier
F4 Konecny
F5 Lindblom
F6 Laughton
F7 Patrick (RFA, QO)

Remember, Farabee and Frost are both exempt as 2-year pros.

Exposed: Voracek, JVR, Aube-Kubel.

D1: Provorov
D2: Sanheim (RFA, QO)
D3: Myers

Exposed: Gostisbehere, Braun.

G: Hart (RFA, QO)

Exposed: Sandström (RFA, would need a QO).

I dont believe Kracken would want to start off with JVR or Voracek salary but either would help the Flyers cap isues. I still think they go for Aube Kubel.

I was leaning towards NAK as well, but I think his current season may have torpedoed that notion.

If I was a betting man I would say it was going to be Gostisbehere.

I thought the term was great. He is 31 at the end of the deal. The cap hit allows for him to be traded pretty easily if it doesn't work out. I thought it was a surprisingly good deal all the way around. Longer term than expected at a lower cap hit than expected. The cap hit is what matters.

How would that work? If it "doesn't work out", then by definition, he is not living up to AAV/term combo. Which means he would not be wanted by someone else either, would he?

Ghost still holds more value for the Flyers. He just needs to skate with a strong "stay at home" type partner. I like NAK too, this season has worn on everybody. They need a reset with a few new players. I see York put on the taxi squad. Really looking forward to him making his pro debut

STFU Sheldon, its a figure of speech. Doesn't work out could mean anything. Use your overeducated limited imagination to figure it out.

Hbu tell me a situation where any meaning of a contract that "doesn't work out" makes it easy to trade that contract?

My overeducated limited imagination needs help.

Under

They are 20-24 now and I do not see them winning 9 of their last 12 to end up at 29-27

They are currently in 19th position btw, but Arizona/Blues are probably getting the 4th playoff spot in their division and are both below them. (So, 20th, effectively).

It's Organizational ineptitude from Ownership to the popcorn vendor.
Ridiculous how bad this team is in every facet of the game.

Myers healthy scratch again. If he can't crack the lineup routinely in a season that was over 3 weeks ago, why would the Flyers protect him? Becuase of "potential" or simply because there is no one else worthy of protecting.

He isn’t getting traded without us retaining significant money or us taking a contract back imo.

If the season ended today I think Seattle takes Lindblom

They will give him a "do over" next season. Big young defensemen are worth their weight in gold. I truly don't know if he can come back or not, but they won't give up on him this year unless he's part of some sort of trade...Myers and Frost for????

My definition of potential is you aren’t good now.
The Flyers have just about the worst collection of defensemen in the NHL, Myers being a healthy scratch all the time is pretty sad.

Myers and frost don’t have huge value to trade yet. Better assets for philly to sit on. Long sinner, get carter back on his game, hope hates looks interested in playing again and a solid rhd over the summer. Looking forward to see what York can bring if they can get him in here after a few practices w the team. His upside could be as good as provy and maybe take some pressure off him.

I do hope they hold on guys like Myers and Frost. Simply because we would be selling low.

I would love to see ((all figures 'at least')
For us:
Allison score 5 more goals.
Have Carter Hart finish April with 0.915 for the month.
Farabee score 3 more goals

For trade:
Have Jake score 10 more points.
or JVR score 5 more goals
or both

It’s why you have to consider moving coots this summer. The haul would set them up.

6th in an 8 team division is a disgrace.
