I stand by Hexy on Lyon, always have. I’m not generally negative, but it would seem appropriate if Lyon goes to Pittsburgh as backup and routinely shuts us out. Regardless of my feelings on the Pens, I would laugh at my fellow Flyers fans expense.

I don't like JVR, I have never liked JVR, I thought it was a horrible signing by Hextall at the time and nothing I have seen since changes my mind. The NHL has long passed by players like JVR, a slow player who doesn't use his size and doesn't consistently play hard.

I liked the Hayes signing at the time, and after least season I liked him more. However this season he has looked disinterested and even slower than JVR. I understand why Hayes was signed at least, given Patrick is a bust and thus the need for a 2nd line center, but I never understood the reason why JVR was signed. Given where the team was at the time, it made no sense to me.

No, everything he brings to the table outweighs the occasional hiccup by a long way. It was nice to see him skate ineffectually back into the play after the puck was in the net though.

I had to shut it off...couldnt stand it any more...I feel bad for Lyon, hes a carreer minor leaguer...and a pretty good one. Just not good enough to play in the NHL. At least he didnt give up 9
