Might be a good idea to give Pittsburgh credit as they played VERY well that period.

They played the 1-2-2 to perfection, as much as I despise it when teams play that style.

- kingcong39

I disagree. Buffalo decided to be spectators.

Pittsburgh took it to them this period. They deserve a ton of credit that wasn’t “well Buffalo is playing bad”

Pittsburg clearly is the better team. 12-3 shots on goal.

Also A lot of non calls on both sides. Should have been 5-6 penalties called between the both sides.

Between that and the 1-2-2, playoff hockey baby! 🤢🤢🤢

We’ll see how the coaching staff adjusts here.

Let’s see if Donny G is a good coach or just the benefactor of our shooting percentage regressing back to the mean.

So what?
Idc whose terrible decision it was to go with this group of goalies....

And i wasn’t a FOOL who defended it either

- jdfitz77

more of a case of trying to get you to shut up, vs defending it

I feel shame

PIT is making skunk look like eakin in his own zone...just dominating that line and, of course, the eakin line...skunk center experiment is over
- Michael Pachla

Thats the thing, posters are praising Pittsburgh but Buffalo so far has been shooting themselves in the foot. The giveaways and sloppy play have nothing to do with Pittsburgh.

Buffalo is better than that.

It’s 65% Pittsburgh’s experience/talent/coaching.

35% Buffalo’s lack of execution.

Is that good enough for you ?

PIT is a tough team to play. Sabres don't have the horses. But it's a funny game

Are they though?
They still are not a good team.

They are playing better but still get outplayed most games.

Only difference is that the shots are starting to go in.

strongly disagree

shot gap has been close to 50 50 the last 10 or so games and the effort can be seen

this team has a pulse now, and I would not be shocked if we come back and win today

Purely hypothetical so don’t get all bent out of shape, but the Rangers have publicly said they plan on putting a “substantial” offer on the table for Eichel this summer.
If, and I mean if as I’m not hip on moving Jack yet, we were to entertain said offer, who do you think is in this package?

He’ll likely be the best player we leave exposed
They may want to go younger though

The game's a good learning experience for the kids. They gotten a bunch of confidence in themselves lately. Let's see if they can do something with that confidence or if they wilt.

Connor Bedard was going first overall in 2023 even as early as two years ago.

He’s a special talent.

- Pegullaville

He’s a reason to consider trading Jack
As well as a stacked 2022 draft

With those guys coming up, it gives us the chance to bring in more elite talent- which we clearly need

Nice toe drag and set up there for Bjork.

Anders should have scored on one of those feeds from either Cozens or Tage on that shift.

I would hope they don’t insult us with Kappo. Adam Fox and Lafreniere for Eichel and a 2nd, salary dump maybe?
