i like Power more than most. i know hes not going to be Chris Pronger. but if hes anything close thats still a damn good player. - wingz4life
He's in the Myers/ Fowler mold if he played with attitude and aggression he be fun in the nhl
I'm hoping Maybe a light turns on and he Realizes hes huge and he can pretty much destroy anyone if he wants to .
It's weird He will have a moment and just be a beast then go back in his shell |

Connor Bedard was going first overall in 2023 even as early as two years ago.
He’s a special talent. - Pegullaville
Yep who knows maybe will get him |

It’s always best to take the best available player regardless of position. I prefer Clarke if I’m going to be honest with you out of all the d-men but if the Sabres brass go with Clarke, Power, Or Hughes I won’t argue it.
I just think with already having Dahlin, Joker, Bryson, Borgen, Johnson, Samuelsson, and Laaksonen it would make myself a bit biased to lean forward at the top of the draft.
From the Sabres point of view of course.
Power and Seider could be an interesting combo in Detroit. I have a feeling though if Eklund is there he’s Detroit bound. They love the Swedes |

That's not a bad thing Regardless he's gonna be the 3rd line centre going forward with jack , Dylan and we've learned center is very important for the future if injuries or trades happen but Beniers Could be that jordan staal role where we have elite centers all around..
But Eklund/Guenther with Cozens could be a nightmare for the nhl - gerbe75pts
That’s the million dollar question I guess though right.
If Eichel is a goner then yes it opens up Beniers to be a 2C. However I’d take a top line winger over a 3C in terms of value added to the team.

The Dakotas - 3rd GM's the charm
Would love that... not enough actual interest tho. Maybe Fargo, but that would be about it. |

I don’t get this point. Do you not draft josh Allen because you drafted Jp Losman or EJ Manuel??
You want the high picks because eventually (you hope) some of those guys hit. Almost all recent top teams have had top draft picks on their roster |

agree...we're already there and if a top pick (maybe as low as 5/6 even) is what we'll get to relieve us of the ralph stank and hopefully (finally?) move the team forward, i'm in |

it's more of a dump on people who think a continuous parade of high picks is the be-all, end-all...as shown by the oilers and now the sabres, it's not |

Yep. All we need to do is draft well, trade well, sign free agents well, and manage the organization well. That's "all we need." |

i'm rooting for them to win as much as they can to finish out the season, draft pick be damned...there are others who'd say that's stupid when the sabres can assure themselves of a top-three pick by losing most of the way...
many have picked their lane, the same lane for years |
|
|

Isn’t Eakin under contract next year? 4th to Seattle to take Eakin... or a 5th for them to take Miller... steer them away from the kids. |

I get it. I have 6 guys, 3 d and 3 forwards all packed at the top of the draft. We’ll get a high upside guy no matter what. And if we’re honest with ourselves, we need both d and forwards for this team in the pipeline |

Casey Mittelstadt has 8 points, including 6 goals, in his last 9 games.
Rasmus Dahlin's 5 even-strength points over the past 7 games are tied for 3rd-most among NHL defensemen during that span.
Cozens has 4 points in his last 3 and has everyone ready to give Anders a Bjork job.
The St.Louis Blues are the exception not the rule. You want a Stanley Cup, pick top 10 several times and hope your owners don’t meddle in personnel decisions. |

That’s not good! I wish him the best. I really do. But the poor guy has got to hang em up... go play in the harbor center. Be a development guy. Let Matty Ellis put a small development staff together... |
