Couldn't agree more. Am actually liking this core moving forward.

It's going to make the expansion draft very interesting.

Risto and the Eakin line got caved in again today but that’s nothing new.

Right? I'd pick Darcy out of any recent GMs
- Michael Pachla

Sorry I misunderstood.

I thought he meant Botts.

At the end of the day Botts did bring us Dahlin, Cozens, Mittelstadt, and Joker.

Do people not know how to read.

“What else needs to be added”

I swear people only read what they want to.

The best former Sabres GM to trade Eichel would be Darcy. I feel like he'd get everything including the other team's GM's first born child LOL

Apart from the pass he made to Mittelstadt on the goal we got outplayed for every other second he was on the ice.

Irwin sucks too though.

- Pegullaville

he stayed in front of the net

cleared bodies out

cleared the puck out

maybe you need to watch the game again

I am more please the coach leaned more on dahlin and joker for the comeback attempt

i thought his positioning was great, the ferocity was there, he got the puck out of the zone while under pressure either by pass or lugging it up ice and the only goal he was on the ice for was the turnover by cozens...can't blame him for that

i saw pretty much the same...was solid...not sure which lines he was on the ice with but prior to the third period, skunk and reider lines were putrid, the cozens line got the tough matchup against crosby and held their own all things considered and the mitts line just kept plugging away

I counted 3 breakaways when he was on the ice.

Rust walked around him like a pilon in the 3rd and beat him all the way down the ice.

Also we are going to celebrate the fact that Risto clears the front of the net because we are in our own zone when he’s on the ice for 83% of the time ?

The guy had a 17% xG today.

and skinner had a 71 xg%...do you really think he had that much of an impact?

Perhaps if one of Risto or Irwin gave him an outlet instead of standing there with a quarter of a brain between the two of them Cozens might not have done two spinoramas possessed the puck for 5 whole seconds behind our own goal line before giving the puck away ?

I’m not excusing Cozens, he could have flicked the pick up in the air to centre ice. However botj Irwin and Risto did him absolutely no favours there

stop...it was a terrible turnover...risto was in front of the net with cozens on a wheel play to irwin...where do you want him to go?

the question was, where should risto have gone?...cozens went behind the net, got in trouble had and outlet with irwin below the line...risto is out in front of the net...it was a weak pass by cozens which turned into a 2-on-1 in tight...e-rod scored...

things like that happen, but to blame risto for his position in front of the net is ludicrous

Here is a longer clip. All three of Risto, Irwin, and Cozens looked ECHL level here.

Risto had no part in this. Cozens under pressure had 2 options. Eat it or make sure it he doesn’t turn it over.

It's encouraging how much responsibility Donny Meatballs is giving to those 2 lines and how much they're stepping up.

As strange as it may be to think and say, how those 2 lines perform and continue to improve matters much more than the Reinhart line as far as the rest of this season goes towards impacting the future.

Anything other than stand in front of the net aimlessly and not even manage to get a stick on the Erod shot despite standing there for 30 seconds in the first place.
