Told you fools it was Buffalo playing bad it wasn't that Pittsburgh was much better.

Buffalo finally playing their game.

- sabresfan69

I'd be willing to bet that the analytics are heavily in Pitts favor

imagine if we had this philosophy in the fall of 2020

1. we would have been ahead of the habs last season, probably much closer to .500
2. probably no eakin
3. 18 less months of suffering

Right?

Sabres went toe to toe with the best team in our division as of late.

I’ll take it.

They were a Jack Eichel away from winning today.

See that faceoff? Mittelstadt beat Crosby clean.

Not a bad loss.

Dahlin and Cozens man the future looks good.

Dahlin walks that line so close. He is just getting started.

- sabresfan69

He’s the X factor. If he turns into what he’s supposed to that is team changing

Good game, guys. Hoping you guys turn it around. Your coach seems to have a decent head on his shoulders. That's a big part right there.

Good fan base and city. You guys have been playing well lately.

And ignore that PensBlog crap. They post a lot of stupid stuff and apparently forgot the years it took the Penguins at the bottom of the standings to look the way we've looked during the Crosby era.

That may be but it definitely wasn't Buffalo getting run over and analytics doesn't beat the eye test.

The second half Buffalo was the better team. We were an inch away from a tied game.

Worth it if Jack stays and we can add Beniers

Even if Jack wants to go the talent we should get back for him should make this a playoff team.

Top line forward, top 4 defender, top prospect NHL ready and a 1st.

They played better in the third period. The first two were pretty bad. Toki bailed them out

If we are trading Eichel out of all the GMs the last 10 years I think I would want it to be Murray making that trade

Adams scares me and thank god its not big head.

Risto and the Eakin line got caved in again today but that’s nothing new.

Maybe, but they've definitely played better and played well lately.

Today was the first game since they began playing well that I felt the opposing team was much better and played great.

Lol the eye test.

Analytics tell the story.

“The eye test”

You sound like NHL inner circles who refuse to use analytics and sign guys like Cody Eakin to multi year deals.

Reinhart for Monahan.

As a base for a trade.

What else needs to add?

Have to take your hat off to him with how he's been playing, and it has to feel good for him. It's a nice story.

Great learning experience for the young players on the Sabres today.

The guy responsible for the 4 brightest spots on the roster in Dahlin, Cozens, Joker, and Mitts ?

The best former Sabres GM to trade Eichel would be Darcy. I feel like he'd get everything including the other team's GM's first born child LOL
