Im not a Fire Quinn guy or a Quinn lover but I thought it was strange that he didnt move Krava around at all last night. Clearly the best player on NYR last night - mrn22
Since that line was the only line doing anything and generating scoring chances and getting a goal, why break it up.
I would say Kravtsov has been better in every game so far than Blackwell. Blackwell was playing better than Kakko hence why he stayed up there for so long before kravs joined.
Hes better suited on the 4th line than Kravs also - nyrangers2
I completely agree. And stated that I'd like to see that switch next season.
But, in the middle of a playoff chase, while the line is flying, is not the time to tinker. Kravy proved he can be depended on and played positionally sound hockey. That play coupled with his skill has improved the 4th line and ultimately made us a deeper team. That is a good thing.
If Blackwell hadn't had points in 8 of his last 12 games going into last night, I'd see the reason for making a change, but...

"Hey guys you doing a great job out there, only guys doing anything in the offense zone and nice goal you scored, let's split you up." You see how that sounds.
There are 3 other lines that could of been switched.

well personally, I am not a fan and never have been a fan of all the kid's playing together
Those have been the lines weve been beating this board down with since the season started. - aecliptic
I've said it several times, but this situation with three left wings in Panarin, Kreider and Lafreniere isn't going away for awhile
they really need to figure out how this is going to work and manage it better, I'll give them a pass for how they are trying to figure it out in this crazy Covid season though

Time to trade Kreider. Too bad he has a NMC. - JRR1285
Why, the point is to have multiple good lines and players that can bring the experience come playoff time. Or you just gonna fill out a lineup of just 21 kids

I would put Lafreniere with Zib and Buch
Kravstov with Panarin and Strome
Kreider with Chytil and Kakko
the rest of the season - jimbro83
I like it a lot. Would be tempted to swap Krav and Kakko though. Krav has proven to create loads of offense which Kreider and Chytil could benefit from. Kakko becomes the beneficiary of Strome and Panarin but contributes by digging out and dishing pucks to the other guys and then getting open or going to the net. Either way, think it’s time Kreider moves down which really isn’t the end of the world. The top 9 would probably get very similar even strength minutes and he would still get PP time.

There’s basically zero grit in the forwards beside maybe KK. once the team is a serious contender they are going to need to address the toughness/grit. Dancers dance singers sing.
Kreider is an avergae first liner and great third liner. Laf should be moved up there now to see what he can do especially if he gets no PP time - nyrangers2
That would be a monster 3rd line. Can't imagine there are too many teams that wouldn't experience match up problems.
