i'm assuming we're going to see hajek in for trouba and bitteto remaining in the lineup. What should happen is Zac jones and Reunanen (or at the least Hajek) in for Trouba and Bitteto.

Questions, comments, concerns?

He did not have a strong season, I am not sure why they signed him. If he couldn't show much in SHL, why would the Rangers think he could come here and do well?

Gotta imagine some of these kids see a logjam of young players and aren't itching to ride the bus in the AHL

Probably because within a year or two all the current prospects will be NHLers and they need someone in the AHL.

Now that we know there is no need to get Bitetto more games in order to expose him to Seattle, he should not pull on that game sweater again.
Hajek has largely been ok, but they will have to watch him closely with the extra minutes Trouba's absence will force him into.
Does anyone know why we haven't seen Reunanen for so long?
Jones is a possibility, but I wouldn't expect his play to be great.

I don't understand the Reunanen thing, but I just am still confused why they stopped playing Hajek suddenly, unless he's hurt and they haven't said it

How can you even tell when they are only measured against two other teams?

I don't even though how anyone could say that either way, this AHL season is ridiculous, they have played 18 games, either Bridgeport or Providence over and over again, no other teams, 11am every day in front of no fans

basically impossible to evaluate what we have there

Can a cup be won with finesse? Yea it can, look at the Blackhawks.

However, as a coach you have to know when to turn on the finesse or turn on the physical. You have to know how to adjust your game plan and approach if it doesnt seem to be working out. This was always my concern with Quinn from day 1. Playoff coaching… Coaching through adversity. Another thing is closing out games.

i just looked at the AHL, some teams have played 33 games and we've only played the 18 you mentioned -tied for 2nd lowest in the league.

I think Jones will be good in his first few games, it's after that I'd be more concerned. Riding the high of making your debut and getting into the NHL will help carry him the first few.

Bitetto had his chance to play for his home town team and score a nice goal but I've seen enough to know we don't need to see anymore.

There’s about 3 guys I’m excited to see play, the rest are 28-35 year old career AHLers. Barron Cuyelle Reunanan

So, all the presser's where Quinn is frustrated and saying how these guys can't succeed if they keep trying to play east-west AGAINST the system we are trying to employ is what? Just playing it up for the media in order to keep his job?
At the end of the day, the onus is on the players. This was an obvious case of them trying to be pretty, like they could do against the AHL Devils, instead of fighting through adversity and getting to the front of the net.
We had multiple guys not bring it and an AHL level defenseman forced into covering part of Trouba's role, which he was clearly not up to. And you still want to ring your doomsday bell and scream about the coach. It's tired.

I would add Hunter Skinner to that for sure and next year certainly more guys will be added, we just have all our young guns playing for the team already
