We need to stop thinking small in our quest for a center and no season would be complete without an attempt to get Draisaitl....

You may as well ask for McDavid.

Were in one of the best spots in the league.....again.

Deangelo Bitteto exposed

Howden Rooney Blackwell exposed

- nyrangers9479

Honestly, if there isn't any significant change in the way they play these remaining games, I'd expose Gauthier over Blackwell.
Yes, it would suck to lose a tradeable commodity for nothing.
But, I'd argue that it isn't for nothing. In all likelihood, there is no place for him on this team. So, he would be the cost of keeping our $700K, goal-scoring Swiss army knife.

4m per for a 3rd line center that has been a 1C and could be again with the right motivation is a steal. However Im not sure I believe in Johansen’s desire to play, especially through adversity when it comes around.

So If you question his desire to play, why would you want him?? Nashville isnt the same situation as ROR was in Buffalo.

For the same reason that Chytil isn't good enough to be our 3C, but other teams would covet him in a trade...

No. I disagree that Chytil should be moved at this time and I also disagree that Nashville would trade RJ for someone that isn't good enough for us.

Especially if they have to eat 40-50% of his salary.

Anyone else catch those all white Stars uni’s last night? Can’t decide if I love them or hate them. Definitely unique, that’s for sure.

I think the bigger thing here, not that I even want anything to do with RJ, is that in the flat cap world that we're in no team, especially one that's constantly in the playoff hunt, will retain $4M on their books for the next 4 years. If they don't retain 50%, then I want even less to do with RJ.

I like the color rush look. All white is bold, but I dig it. They kinda look like astronauts haha

I’ve been trying to figure out what they remind me of, astronauts is good . Also kinda like old school race car drivers or something to that effect.

Yikes. I lean toward hate. Haven't seen them play in them, though.
I remember Toronto had a game last year where they wore all white. They looked like a team of Space Ghost's!!

Saw that they also have a all black unis (don't know if these are real). I'm a fan of both. Think they did a nice job and they should go with both full time.

Crazy bit of trivia that was mentioned last night while the hockey world was talking about Patrick Marleau...
Apparently, he has played with or against 37% of ALL people who have EVER played in the NHL!!

Interesting question.
In my book, yes. You do your sport no favours by failing to honour the person who has played it the most!
And, regardless of personal accomplishments along the way, you can't play in over 1700 games if you are a non-factor.

32 missed games in 23 seasons played. Crazy.

It will be interesting. Definitely one of those tweener guys for me. The games played is an incredible feat and a record that might not ever be broken. Unfortunately, his stats and accomplishments might keep him out.

If Marleau makes it, does Yandle?
