having Hajek in that prospect ranking kind of kills the whole thing - jimbro83
Well, considering he's 23 and has already played in 67 games, I don't consider him a prospect anymore anyway. |

why dont they just list Kreider while they are at it, remember he was predicted to win Calder for like 5 years?

We can allow for one error. The other rankings are pretty agreeable.
To your other post. I am not sure I would be convinced that Quinn would take mins away from Fox for Nils and Jones next season. But in the future if they show their promise = reality, I could see Fox being given some breaks. |

I am expecting Lundkvist to be so good that Fox doesn't need to play 27 minutes like he did yesterday, that's kind of my overall feeling on that

And I hope you are right. The Rangers have the pieces and the setup to have 3 sets of amazing D-men. |

Not sustainable in the long run unfortunately/fortunately, allowing us to eventually trade a piece for a position of need. |

and we have the 5th best goal differential in the league and are not likely to get a playoff spot |

Maybe not.
But for at least a year or two, I think we can be set up for 3 pairs of guys who could be relied on in any situation.
No need for anyone to play more than 20 minutes each, with minor fluctuations for special teams play.
Who knows, maybe some guys will decide on being part of a sustained winner, over increased personal wealth? |

And are top 10 in defense, too. So, it's not like we are one dimensional. |

i dont see a world in which we benefit from not playing K'andre and Fox 20+ minutes. A commentary on how good they are, not the quality of the other D men. |

I would be a shock if we have another Fox caliber in the mix. Don't see it happening. I see a bunch of high quality 2nd pairing dmen. Some we can keep, some we can't. |

CBJ making some pretty head-scratching trades as far as fitting players into a Torts system. Domi may be bad luck on their part but Laine has fallen off a cliff too. Less than a .5 PPG player. |

they also have to keep making trades or letting players walk because no one wants to play there |

why? 3 teams in his almost 6 year career. a good rookie season and one other good season after that. seems like another player that would cause more harm than good. |
