It's annoying, if the Rangers were in any other division they would be a playoff team right now.
Just wish this season had about 20 games left instead of 11. Would really like our chances. |

Bruins just got too hot. Rangers win all 4 against the Devils, and Bruins are on their own 4 game streak. Rangers are 7-1-2 in their L10 and have only picked up one point, most of that time while the B’s are playing no name goalies. Boys are doing everything they can, just can’t get any help. Regardless, have to be proud of the way they are finishing the season and even more excited for the future. Kravtsov might just be the next great Russian sniper. A role they need badly on the right hash on PP2. |

Personally, I think thats Nils spot when he comes up. Or they run a top bottom like they have with Panarin and Zib, have Nils and Krav essentially rotating/cycling the hash spot.
The other issue is, theres no passers/playmakers on that PP2 as it is. |

That very dubious decision to play Bitetto almost directly cost the Rangers the game yesterday.
The Devils were purposely targeting his area and both the 3-2 and 3-3 goals were scored from his area.
Don’t (frank)in do that again.
Either stick with Hajek, play Reunanen or get a look at Zac Jones. All three of those guys had played hockey recently one way or the other.
Bitetto hadn’t played in a game in 2 months.
They got a bit lucky with that. I’ll take it, they had a lot of bad luck first half of season. |

Oh hell yea, Lundkvist needs to be in a shooters position as well. Only difference with Krav is he’s a lefty so ideally he’s shooting from the right hash and Nils from the left. Think they could definitely cycle to open up either or. But you’re right, PP2 lacks a playmaker as well. Hopefully Kakko and/or Laf can claim that role. |

Its more than likely gonna be LAF, but what they truely need is a center. Its why Strome is playing the PP1, because if you really look at it hes the only true passer (for better or worse) on the ice.
Heres the other problem, if Krav is shooting from the right hash, Nils on left point, LAF the eyes on LW… where do we slot Kakko and Buch? Especially if we end up getting a C. |

8 out of 8 points is what we needed. Giving up the 3rd period leads is an issue, but comes with the inexperience of this team.
The Rangers are doing their part and I think will be in contention til the end of the season, but there’s just not enough games left barring complete collapse of BOS/Isles. |

Isles have 3 games each vs. us and WSH. This will ultimately decide our fate I believe. |

Strome is the only true passer on PP1? Panarin says Hi! |

Next year I think we’ll finish with the #1 offense in the league. We could potentially have 3 PPG players in Zib Strome Panarin, 2 70+ pt players in Buch and Fox and multiple 50+ point guys like Kakko Laf Kravtsov Kreider. |

I like the way you're thinking. Even if I'm not going to let myself go there yet!
Can't wait for the Hart, Norris and Vezina sweep! |

I do not think this is an outlandish statement. I still think the Rangers will continue some growing pains. But the Offense keeps clicking and getting better.
Consistency is the primary need and that comes with age, wisdom and experience.
Looking good though.
If you look the Rangers offense is a +33 and 4th in the league for goals for. Pretty decent. |

I think you are being overly optimistic on your 50+ point players for next year. |

This game requires some luck and bounces. The rangers were the better team in 10 losses this year, but nothing went their way. Hoping the can squeak in as things are going their way now.
Next year should be some big steps forward |

Kreider is a maybe for 50, Kakko LAF and Krav it a tough call there. Theres simply not enough minutes to get all these guys out there. Lets not forget the (hopefully inevitable) upgrade at 3C. Im not sure I see Fox hitting 70, but 50+ looks very realistic. |

Fox may actually see a dip in points next year if Lundkvist takes some of his PP time away

I cant imagine that the PP2 gets a significant boost in time to affect Fox. |

Logic would agree with you. But with Fox it's difficulty considering how damn consistent he is. So I would not take that bet. |

Fox could actually have a better season overall next year but see a drop in points
well, more than he has this year because it will be a full season obviously, but not at the same rate
if Zac Jones and Nils Lundkvist are as advertised they will be put into offensive situations and Fox will be more of a guy to be relied on defensively than he is now
