Hes also changing it in all the wrong ways.

Kreider and Blackwell on a PP line together? Is Quinn's brain burnt out after 4 straight against NJ?

I think you or others said it, and not just due to them both happening to score this game, but Blackwell needs to be replaced on the PP by Laf or Krav.

That play by Smith was .... "interesting"

Panarin needs to end this nonsense!

I don’t agree with taking Kreider off the first unit when they have a goal and have created great chances all game. Buch looked lost with that unit and they got nothing going

I think what they need to develop is their "close out games" lines. The lines they start games with seems to be an issue with finishing games.

The ONLY change on the PP should have been to get Kravtsov out there instead of Blackwell. You cant cage that talent, its insane when you need a goal.

We played the devils 4 times and won 4 times. The first 2 were better than the last 2 but that’s probably partially due to the devils being able to better gameplan. Either way, points desperately needed

To follow up on what I said before, they need to adjust the lines to close out games.

Personally, Id minimize how much Chytil is out there, hes a liability when it comes to own zone play.

LAF, Zib, Buch - still defensively sound.
Panarin, Strome, Krav - this line should have been playing together anyway.
Kreider, Rooney, Kakko - solid defensive line
Chytil/Kreider/LAF/Kakko, Blackwell, Howden - decent enough

This is how they should have entered the 3rd period I believe.

That's due to Devils fatigue. 4 and 3 goal leads the last 2... The Rangers just want to be done with these clowns and move on, but that's not how it works. All part of the learning process.

But thats a HUGE problem, because come the playoffs the teams are tons better than these Devils. If we cant game plan and adjust accordingly, last years playoff dud will keep happening.

Update... Tarmo has 3 goals, 11 assists in 18 games for the Pack. How is he not with us for this playoff push.

He was solid but looked a little out of place when he came up. Not sure he’s the answer right now.

The bar isnt very high between Reunanen, Hajek and Bitetto. Just need someone to get in there and keep it simple.

Some quick thoughts:

1) Nice to see Georgi injury not too serious. Don't want to over work Shesty.

2) SWEET goal by Kravtsov! Have to echo the thoughts of others here --- how is he not on 2PP?

3) Some noticeable slippage by Fox and Miller today, lets hope they clean it up!

4) Trouba continues to play well. Nice hit that led to the penalty which gave us our first goal.

5) Howden had the assist on Kravtsov's goal, but other than that single play, the offense dies when he has the puck. We have seen enough --- time to give his ice time to someone else like Barron

6) Lets hope many other of our players have birthdays in the next 3 weeks!
