And why would Couturier want to go to Buffalo? - DANCER
He has no choice if traded. But why would he want to resign? 8 years 10 million that’s why. Living wise bumbalo actually not bad area. Many players retire here actually. Close to Canada Niagara Falls great housing schools. Great food. People in suburbs generally leave you alone. |

How is it institutionally racist wise? |

Well if he truly wants out what the team gonna do ? Play hardball? I think he’s already stressed he wants out and the last 2 seasons the team has said give us a shot first. Let us try to sign some vets like staal hall. Didn’t work. If the situation turns toxic the trade value goes down. Especially with superstars of very rarely gets to that point. - SMS4016
Hate to break it to you, but there's no proof he even wants out. |

Depends on what context.. definitely racism here. Very multicultural everywhere including suburbs. Naturally the further out you go the “whiter” I’d say on par with with most small big city areas. |

It’s not that he “wants” out. He sees his peers having success. Being in playoffs. He wants that which is natural. Obviously bumbalo tried. He’s been a good soldier but they obviously aren’t close in sense next year or year after. He’s been in league 5 years. These star players aren’t waiting 7-8-9 years to finally make playoffs. |

I know its fun to fantasize about trades, but when was the last time the Flyers traded for a player of Eichels caliber in his prime? Pronger is a name but he was actua!ly getting a little older. Before that...maybe Reggie Leach, Mark Howe? Point is its not probable. |

I think that this community seriously undervalues Coots. IMO when you are talking Coots + any other asset, the return is very few players in this league, and Eichel is not one of them. |

The problem isn’t coots. It’s where here’s slotted.
Average middle of the pact at best 1c
Great top tier 2c
Which is better? Which do you build with? |

Me personally, I would build around your Bergeron's, Couturier's, O'Reilly's all day long. Not only do they score, but they do EVERYTHING else too. |

If Coots were 26, if our young'uns were further along, and if Hayes was not condemned to be 7m center for the next eternity, I personally would never advocate for Couts leaving.
No one shows up more consistently than him. When was the last time he had a bad game or was invisible? He is never scoreless for long. He makes every line he plays on better.
But: b/c of factors other than his play, I don't see any road that gives greater odds of future contending than Couts trade.
Whether Eichel is the guy you trade him for is a different story though.

I don't remember Taylor Hall ever requesting a trade and he missed the POs how many years in a row?

That's a fair POV, but what I am saying is that the proposals thrown around on these boards today is Coots + Frost + 2 firsts for Eichel and I think that is bonkers and why i say that he is undervalued here. |
|
|
|
My gut feeling is eichel is traded to rags. They have tons of assets. And they rule division for next 5+years |
|
|

Hart played really well, and Allison looked like he belonged. Hopefully those trends continue the rest of the year.
Hope Patrick is ok, That was pretty scary considering his history. |

It’s not coots is undervalued but the opposite actually. To get a talented player like eichel you have to give up a lot. Coots isn’t a throwin. You gonna lose a huge piece which coots is. The question is ... is eichel worth it? IMO yes |

Taylor who? He’s nowhere near eichel level. We’re talking about the elite player level here |

We will see. I have doubts about Mike Z and their D.
Btw, What do Jack Hughes, Kakko, and Lafraniere have in common:
They are all trending in a ppg pretty similar or worse compared to NP 1st 2 years. |

Eichel isn't elite. He's Taylor Hall level.
