Guns aren't the problem, there's guns everywhere in the world... Americans with guns seems to be an issue though - obie
Assault riffles are a big part of the problem. There is also a patent problem in the cultural narrative around guns in the US, but the first step is clearly to forbid the access to weapons whose only and explicit function is to kill people. That would not prevent aggressive people to go in a supermarket and kill randomly with a hunt rifle, but there would be a drastic decrease in the number of victims. And it sends the right message: guns are used to hunt animals, that's their unique function. (sorry for your wild turkeys friends, poulet).
I know that's the case in Japan. You sure about China? - Takemedrunkimhome
May depend on province, but the point is when is the last time we heard someone getting shot in China from a massacre standpoint ? Surprised police in Japan don’t carry guns, it’s still the case now ?

that would never fly in the US. the primary and secondary argument that people make in favour of unchecked firearm accumulation is self defence. there is a very not insignificant portion of people in the US who literally think they're constantly on the precipice of some kind of civil war where they are going to have to kill a lot of people, including their friends and neighbours. and there's an entire industry devoted to this. you know what businesses advertise on conservative radio shows? companies that make fallout shelters, companies that provide 3 months worth of meal rations, companies that provide seed and soil packages in case you need to start growing your own food.

Definitely the armies have it no doubt, police like I said in my other post may vary by province - habs88888
Only a certain kind don't, dispatched to minor calls, more in a peacekeeper role, any violent crime and you're getting cops with guns and probably the army soon after
