Well there you go. Maybe it's just civilians have a nightmare to go through to get a gun. The Yakuza don't carry guns due to the punishments I believe - Takemedrunkimhome
Same thing with China as well it’s the mentality of the citizens knowing the severity of the punishments |

that would never fly in the US. the primary and secondary argument that people make in favour of unchecked firearm accumulation is self defence. there is a very not insignificant portion of people in the US who literally think they're constantly on the precipice of some kind of civil war where they are going to have to kill a lot of people, including their friends and neighbours. and there's an entire industry devoted to this. you know what businesses advertise on conservative radio shows? companies that make fallout shelters, companies that provide 3 months worth of meal rations, companies that provide seed and soil packages in case you need to start growing your own food.

indeed. it's even in their constitution, the 2nd amendment - Pat1993
There are prominent constitutionalists in the US that argue that uncheck guns purchase and carrying is a gross misinterpretation of the 2nd amendment. The culture of paranoïa and the symbolic association between guns and safety in a lot of americans mind make it easier for lobbyist to make everyone thinks that this is a right that is protected in the constitution. But, factually, guns are used to assault other people more than they assure any kind of safety. This problem also can't be distangled from the deep rooted racism problem that goes through the entire history of that country. |

Wrong but he wouldn't be able to play this year so it's extremely unlikely... unless a division team just wants him off the Habs' roster |

The original context is that Spongebob visited Sandy (the squirrel) in her air filled habitat and almost died. He explained it to Patrick who dismissed him as a bigot and insisted that they needed to show Sandy that everything was fine and that they could meet her for lunch at her place with no issues. Patrick drags him confidently into the place and slowly realizes that he is a moron and needs water to live. They have a funny and awkward sit down where they slurp tea and try to water themselves while not being impolite.

yes, definitely. also, you have to consider that the constitution was written in the 18th century, so maybe, just maybe things have changed a little, and that they should look at re-writing it to reflect modern times and society... but I don't even think it's something 'Muricans would ever consider, it would be the equivalent of re-writing the bible for them. |

No one will do that, so if we put in Caufield and put Perry or Staal on taxi squad we should be good |

Well, I'm not arguing that this transformation would be easy to implement in the US. I was just arguing that it should and that it's a f/!4 up society. |

Any team who could face the Habs in the playoffs would consider it, why wouldn't they?
Better question is, with the roster size increase and the cap no longer an issue, why are you risking it? Nothing to gain at all... |
