I bet they play Ross tonight.. and I bet we end up with another double penalty b/c he will try to get someone to answer for those plays last night. The problem is.. it should have been handled last night when u were down 3 goals late and were going to lose... it will end up costing them the next night.
If Martin isn't going to fulfill that role he should be scratched...and as u guys know I am a big Martin fan... if he isn't going to drop the gloves when a guy on his line gets boarded like that he should take a seat in the press box. - niteislander
I think Ross is on the IR, isn't he? |

I thought last night was arguably Pageau's worst game as an Islander. Like several others, he was fighting the puck, slow on decisioning and just off.
Overall everyone was completely out of sync and just off by a step or two. It's been that way with them for a while but last night it really seemed to come to a head. They better get it under wraps fast - keaner17
Agreed, just not a very smart or structured game by The Isles last night. Varly was the only one who played well. I think Wahlstrom played himself a seat in the presser tonight. He was struggling in the D zone last night.

I hope Eberle gets claimed in the expansion draft. Have a top line of Barzal Wahlstrom and Lee. - Hockeyislife

Before or after they fire Barry? |

At least the caps lost.. to Buffalo no less. Mantha scored again.. starting to think they weren't as crazy as we thought on that pick up. He is HUGE and had good hands. go to front of net and score.. - niteislander
He’s an excellent player to be sure. When he wants to be. But for extended stretches in Detroit he’d just coast. Perhaps he was pouting, or just lacked motivation. Regardless, he appears quite motivated in Washington. |

I blame the break mandated by Upstate. Too much rest was given, and now the rust is copious and hard. |

Waiting on an Injury update. If Bailey cant go I would replace him with MDC. He was playing well before the injury. |

Still on IR I believe. |

I would bench Mayfield and put in Hickey or Coburn. How many games has mayfield cost us this year. |

I expect Johnston will draw in then. |

Gonna disagree with you here. Eberle made a beautiful pass to Barzal right on his stick and he missed the net it happens. That’s a tap in and Barzal scores 9 out of 10 times. Ebs isn’t going to beat Rask from where he was. I will agree it was a defining point in the game. I also will agree many players try a pretty pass other than shooting. - nyisles7
They were in tight I don't think barzal was able to pick it up quick enough coming out of the defensemans legs |

They needed a break I think it’s awesome. Hopefully that’s what they needed we’ll find out Thursday. Friday. |

Fluke, not Barzals fault?

Thought I said The Isles?
As far as Wally, there were a couple of real bad decisions and TO on the wall last night in the D zone. I guess I’m just trying to get the thread ready for his benching so maybe the b1tching and moaning won’t be that bad when it’s official |

You thinking you have to soften the blow for us due to a bad personnel decision by our coach is borderline hysterical. |

Not disagreeing with the decision if I’m stating it before hand.
The thread pissing and moaning like a bunch of 3 year old every time one of the fair haired youngsters are benched is comical. Coach cant just keep rolling out the same lineup if it’s not producing. Maybe just hoping I don’t have to read the same BS over and over again
If Bailey is out then you need not worry as the Islanders will finally be benching the right player per yourself and other HB coaches |

Benching the “fair haired” player with the best shot and one timer on a team that’s struggling to score and has an inept powerplay is most likely not the best decision. He was FAR from the worst defensive player on the ice yesterday that award 100% goes to Beauvillier who has been for a few games and was an absolute tire fire last night. I think it’s comical that you don’t think that’s even debatable. I don’t know why I’m shocked trotz could probably take a dump in your mouth and you would tell everyone it’s the best dump you ever tasted.
I’m sure there’s a site somewhere where every fan agrees with everything Lameriello and Trotz do and they talk about how wonderful things are all the time with a strict NO OPINIONS ALLOWED policy for you |

Barry’s shat sandwich is so good agreed. Big Wally fan but last night as I said there were some bad decisions that stuck out to me.
Again every player was pretty bad yesterday but just trying to point out some gaffs so that when Wallys out tonight you won’t piss your pants.
At least if Baileys out tonight we won’t get the:
“ Bailey “
Post every 2 minutes
Hopefully the team comes out with a purpose tonight and plays with some jump and with their heads out of their asses! They need to get back to playing the brand of hockey that has made them successful. |

You play I'm sure you knew a pass was coming through the defender and just couldn't track it quick enough and I think that's what happened
Edit personally I would have liked ebs to shoot there he was point blank |
