I didn't hate the trade assuming they'd resign him. The whole thing is just a cluster (frank) now.

Looking back clearly shouldn't have traded for him. Would have made more sense to trade Madden and that second just to get rid of someone like LE than to make that trade.

I have a buddy who’s wife has a “salon” in Mission. Tanning, nails, teeth whitening, waxing, and stuff. All the things Mission girls like and they are BOOMING. Making so much money it’s crazy. No rhyme or reason to it.

I went to the pharmacy this afternoon and there must have been 15 cars lined up for the A&W drive thru, that was like 2:30. I haven't met anyone who's told me they are struggling, most are complaining about shortages of supplies and materials.

I was in Hillside Mall (which I know doesn’t mean anything to you big city folk) day before yesterday and there is no way in hell that any of the retailers in there are doing ok.

I mean, retail was already starting to fail because of e-commerce but it’s next level now.

I’m in hospitality, indirectly now, but directly in the past. I know my previous employer is hurting huge. They transitioned to doing take out last year, but it isn’t enough. He has tables set up in the parking lot now to expand the patio, but almost all his employees are laid off now and they are doing maybe 25% of their normal business.

Quick Serve (fast food) has been on a steady incline for a long while now, but lots of places have lost their proverbial shirt.

How about the restaurants that don’t have patios? Hospitality businesses? Hotels? Dry cleaners? The majority of retail outside the Walmart’s of the world. People are hurting. Perhaps not in your bubble

It’s not a habit of mine either. Wife had a doctors appointment, I was killing time. So few people though. Grocery store (Thrifty’s) looked busy, Canadian Tire also.

Here’s what I would say about restaurants, given I have a little experience. If you made it until now - meaning you survived the first shut down and managed to reopen and you didn’t adjust the way you do business you were destined to fail. Not doing takeout, or taking advantage of city bylaw changes to carve out patio space, even on the sidewalk, is a death sentence. I was a bit surprised that they closed indoor dining, but not shocked. Apparently there has been a good dose of transmission happening in restaurants, just ask Mr. and Mrs. Gaudette

Where have you heard/seen this?

Resteraunts all over the place all taking away parking spots, renting party tents and propane heaters and setting up dining outside. Pubs, breweries, local and even chain restaurants are doing it by my place.
