What’s sens fan’s opinions on where JBD should be playing next season, AHL vs NHL?

It may depend a lot on training camp, especially if someone like Lassi Thomson comes in and wows the coaching staff. But personally, I don't see any reason for JBD not to be playing in the NHL next year. He'll be 21, with a full 3 years of NCAA experience, and already seems to be taking the NHL game in stride. As a natural RHD, he could play sheltered minutes behind Zaitsev/Zub to start the year on the 3rd pairing, and then see how far he progresses.

Sokolov seems to having a good first year. He's likely a couple years away as he works on his skating, but could be a fun prospect to watch.

This year's season will be remembered for Covid. It will quickly become the forgotten year in terms of team sports.

For that reason alone, this has been a great year for the Sens. An opportunity to develop the kids with little concern for outcomes and success measures. So many young guys on the current to be excited about:

Tkachuk
Chabot
Zub
Norris
Stutzle
White
Batherson
Brannstrom
JBD
Formenton
Pinto

This is going to be a very good team. And, it is going to have very strong leadership at its core. Ironically, when the dust settles and a few more prospects float upwards in the system, the strength of the Sens may be its superior defensive corps.

If the Ontario government shuts down travel from other provinces...is the NHL season over for Canadian teams?

Could they set up a system similar to the raptors? Play their "home games" in the other provinces.

They should all fly down to Texas and play all their home games in Houston, or just go to Bufffalo and play there...

There are a few interesting storylines with the B-Sens...
- Abramov had a slow start, but has taken a leading role (17Pts/21GP)
- Sokolov has found a clear niche as his triggerman (11G/22GP)
- Gustavsson has quietly put up a solid 2.81/0.912sv% on a below-.500 team
- Thomson has been a lot more productive than in his SM-Ligaa time
- Crookshank has come out of the NCAA on fire (8Pts/7GP since being signed)

These are some of the depth pieces that will become especially valuable in 2-3 years, when salary cap considerations will start coming into play, and harder decisions start being made about the NHL roster.

It's pretty obvious... Burns represents the one who's always surly, and Smithers represents the one with the secret man crush and Malibu Stacy obsession.

The Leafs playing out of Buffalo makes sense with playoffs coming. Not sure it makes much sense for a non playoff team to continue if we see a full lockdown.

All of these are best described as looooooong-shot prospects. Hopefully the Sens will soon have enough talent and be competitive enough for fans to avoid lusting over such fringe talent.
