The way this team is playing will cost him his job.
I hope someone else is in place before the amateur and expansion drafts. - Mashadar

I don't know why it hasn't already. He should have been gone years ago, but Molson hasn't sent him packing yet, why will he start now. |

I can't help but be pessimistic given Molson's track record of not firing him. They'll probably get swept in the first round and Molson will offer him 8 years 10.5 million with a no firing clause. |

so why wait? why not do it now? usually they don't lose time and do it early. Molson must be thinking about his next move. I am not so sure he will keep MB if they don't meet expectations.

No guarantees they will even make the playoffs even the Flames easier schedule |

I really really really really hope they put a president of hockey operations at the top to manage the whole hockey thing, and keep Molson one layer further away.
Then let that president work out the new GM, coach, etc... etc...
I know we are not Buffalo or Ottawa bad with owners, but still... |

They absolutely shouldn't and Molson maybe weighing his options, but don't be surprised if we hear about how he likes Bergevin's plan and they'll bring in Jacques Martin as the new coach. |

oh I wouldn't be surprised. if he kept him that long, he may very well extend him again. but the fact it's not done yet shows that, yeah, he's thinking about it.

Sorry to disappoint Marc but his contract ends in 2022... Still less costly to fire someone with a year to go than with 3...we’ll see how it plays out. |

Feel good or not, we can’t let the pee wee performance continue, leaders have to step up and get it done, the schedule is not in our favour |

Nashville got screwed.
They didn't create the contract - Holmgren of Philly did.
Nashville did match the offer sheet, but that recapture penalty did not even exist at the time. The next year it was grandfathered in. OUCH.
Not exactly fair to Nashville brining that in and making it retroactive - can't un-ring the bell. - Nasty_Duck
Nashville screwed themselves. They lost Suter the year before and had a full year to negotiate with Weber. They lowballed him, allowed him to get to FA and let another team negotiate his contract for them.....thank god they matched
