Coots has been a Selke candidate numerous times, (or at least should have been), if I'm not mistaken. - KGBflyers10
Couts has finished in the 10 ten of Selke voting 5 times in his 10 year career so far.

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) Anthony Stolarz made 27 saves and nearly posted a second straight shutout against San Jose, Ryan Getzlaf scored his first goal in more than a month and the Anaheim Ducks completed a two-game sweep of the Sharks with a 4-1 win Wednesday night.
"Stoley played great for us," said forward Derek Grant, who also scored for Anaheim. "He made a number of big saves when we needed him to. ... It's unfortunate they got one by Stoley because he's been great these last two games."
Stolarz followed up a 46-save performance in a 4-0 win Monday night with another strong performance against the struggling Sharks.

If you had to choose between Couts, Kopitar or Bergeron who do you choose? For me, I would pick Kopitar or Bergeron before Couts, but its really close. - jd250
If they were all the same age, I'd maybe pick Kopitar.
But right now? Coots for sure. |

Rebuilding rangers well on their way to pass us as well, Frank this team - ClaudeFather
Go back the last few years and look at the deals they made. They weren’t e afraid to ship out declining talent. They got assets and drafted well. Kakko and Lafreniere aren’t even doing anything for them yet and they still look like a franchise trending in the right direction. |

Looks like Anaheim has found their backup goalie of the future!

And it’s made what difference for us. That’s how bad the rest of this team is at playing defense. Ugh. |

hopefully, when the flyers finish out of a playoff spot, theyll have the opportunity to play a play-in round and if they fail to win, have the chance to win the lottery and pick 1st overall |

But Price had about a 5/6 week stretch that year where he was at about .889 . Actually, Mason's last season as a Flyer, he was well below 90% for the first half and 92% for the second half. - bmeltzer
Not to mention Price had some truly putrid teams in front of him. The Habs had nowhere near the talent that Philly has. |

Yes, well it helps when you get the top 1 or 2 picks in the draft 2 years in a row and draft in the top 10 4 years in a row. However, they have done more than draft. They have made great hockey trades as well, getting the likes of Zibanejab, Panarin and Trouba while making a good decision to resign Kreider. This is what happens when you do a rebuild properly, you draft high, you make good trades and sign the right people. And they still have $2.3M in cap space this year. Its a nice counter example to what the Flyers have done in their supposed rebuild. - jd250
Them drafting at the top actually has nothing to do with it, those guys are non factors at the moment |

The trouba deal was also a bad one as soon as the ink dried, you won’t find many rangers fans happy with him |

I have always wondered why hockey fans rely so much on regular season stats. Bergeron is over 0.7ppg in playoffs, Kopitar is over 0.8.
Couturier is just over 0.5 ppg. Throw away 2 games out of the 39 he has played in the post-season, and he would have 15 points in 37 games (about 0.35 ppg).
That is where the real difference manifests itself. |
