By that time the Drouin and Byron deals will have expired along with Chiarot or Edmundson, whichever Seattle doesn't pick... also Allen will expire around that time too... as long as he doesn't hand out 8 million + deals, he'll be able to keep his depth

nah. that poop was real. he was given days off for a few seasons because of the pain. not that anyone cares but he hung them up because of the meds and their long term effects on his health after having 2 small kids at home.

If he went his whole career with that allergy that's pretty damn impressive he put up elite numbers despite it. He certainly didn't develop an allergy in his 30s to something he was exposed to his whole life before that, the timing seemed very suspicious at best.

he wasn't the player he was when he was younger but he still 20-50 guy. yeah, the timing was always gonna be wonky.

Fair enough, I just wonder why they couldn't revert the equipment material or alter it slightly if they knew the cause.
Though I guess it was med related anyway it wouldn't have stopped him from leaving.

it was something along those line. he used to get quite a few maintenance days off his last 2-3 years. it was always a mystery. also would miss a game occasionally.

fwiw, the stories from his teammates that came out after would tell of him having welts on parts of his body. whether its true or not, who knows.

I think he has had enough time in Laval time to bring him up I think especially if we lose Allen to Seattle
