Every winning team needs a player like him. He’s an absolute beast. An overpaid beast, but a beast nonetheless. - TC88
He is playing with less hesitation which makes him much better in positioning and quick decisions. Only took him a couple seasons to get comfortable. I'll take it. |

Maybe part of it is now Trouba realizes he has a partner in Miller he can count on and has developed chemistry with. Took time, but that was a big reason he was good with the Jets. |

Pionk is still their top offensive D-man. My problem with him as a Ranger was he just wasn't physical enough.
We needed a hard hitting crease clearer like Trouba and I am still happy with the trade. The only thing I wish is the AAV on his extension was a bit less but I don't understand all of the hate for him at times. |

I think I actually got an answer from him on that a long time ago. I don't recall but I think it was more of an accident that stuck |

Yeah, that was the consensus at the time. If they could have signed him for $1M/yr less or maybe 1.5, it would be about perfect. |

Trouba is the kind of player you win in the playoffs with. |

I want Smith back if the price is right. I would rather lose Hajek. |

Same, though he would be an exclusive 7th man up. I want Jones-Nils added. Not necessarily as pairing, but both of those guys should be in the lineup next year.
Edit: And that’s not a knock on Hajek. He’s been playing well of late, too. The whole blue line has settled in really well. |

I say we just play with all wings and defencemen as a lineup. No Centers. Don't even line up for faceoffs. It wouldn't make a difference anyway at this point.
Rangers will be the 1st team to win the cup with zero centers and zero faceoffs won. |

I played in a beer league tournament with Keith Ozborne one time. Great guy. Easily the best player in the tourney.
Every time he was on for a faceoff, he just left his stick across his knees and let the other guy take it.
He only really tried if we fell behind. |

Expecting an update today on Jack Eichel. Word is BUF captain needs surgery and will get it done soon, so he can begin training in preparation for next season. He’ll miss the remainder of this year. |

I don't think he is, either, but I'm happy to be wrong. Plus, I can envision the org wanting him and Schneider to play together in Hartford. Getting those guys into a Lindgren-Fox Zen'like partnership is more important long term. Unless either of them just proves to be that good, I think this is the plan. |
