And especially on a 3on3. He's been trying all this sneaky release shots everywhere on the ice and that's mostly ok when it's 5v5 and you can get a crowd going and have a good chance at a rebound or a 50/50 retrieval, but 3v3? Way too much space; it's just going to be an instant turnover.

I would rather they had a prolonged horrible stretch now, and still picked up plenty of points, than suddenly have the PP evporate in the middle of the playoffs.

I was honestly so blown away with Marners dumb(frank)ery I don't think I focused very much on what happened at the other end.

You know when you watch a peewee house game and there's the one kid who's realized he skates faster than everyone else but doesn't know what the (frank) else to do. That kid does what Marner just did.

No wonder this team is doomed at times when it's best players pull poop like that. 😂
