I don't have any faith that Dave Scott understands the NHL today and how things need to be done. I don't have any faith that he is not going to push some strings and put pressure on Fletcher. I'm sorry MJL, I understand your fear and I honestly don't want the Flyers to completely go back to the way they were either, because that way also proved to not work. But I think you are reading waaay too much into what Dave Scott is saying. He wants the team to be relevant, he wants the team to win, and he is willing to spend money on the right players. These are good statements from the owner of the team. They statements don't have to mean the Flyers go back to the days of signing players like Bryzgolov or Lacavalier, but it also doesn't mean the Flyers should not trade assets if we can get a player that can be part of the solution for years to come either. I think we can agree that the Flyers have to draft and develop consistently well so they can have a stockpile of assets to either fill a gap on their current roster or to execute a hockey trade to get an elite player.

You're trying to badly, insinuate that the Flyers have lousy players, so this is why all of this happened. It's a poorly thought out narrative.
