well i would assume your preference would be to resign him and have part of the solution moving forward. you dont strike me as the complete tear down model so that would require obviously the sort of deal you cant refuse to move.
if youre of the mindset of completely dropping the etch a sketch, i dont think thats a horrible starting point for negotiations from the other side when you consider the type of team that would be interested in the that kind of deal and then have to resign him. - stayinthefnnet
Cirelli is a very nice player. He is an underrated player. He's going to win a Selke trophy in the near future. It's not enough of a starting point if he is the top asset coming back. Couturier is a top 15 center in this league who is in his prime.

This was addressed to black member of our board. This piece of poop constantly harasses a selected target and makes personal attacks and suggestive posts against other posters family members. He is a habitual line crosser and repeat offender on his 4-5th account. I cant believe you havent banned him by his IP....get it the (frank) together - KINGKENZO
Yes addressed to a black to see what his thoughts were; whats the problem.

and thats not an unfair stance. you view him as a piece to keep and id assume youre on board with giving him that next deal in the ballpark of 7 years at 8 per. i dont think thats a bad decision. generally, you search for players like coots rather than trying to trade them.
but if you did look to move him, do you see a lindrosian type haul coming back? |

aw come on, he even agreed to come back next year.
ive actually managed to get myself somewhat more than lukewarm on him. if he can still skate well enough to get himself into shooting areas, he could provide some depth. im curious to see if he slots more at center or wing. |

Braun looks like he could use a blow. You know what you have in him. At this point the younger players should be playing every game. |

We need to avoid these posters, easier said than done. I can’t join HF, very cult like, at least the folks here think for themselves |

No, he said far more than that. He said he wants the team to be relevant. He said he wants the team to be aggressive and to be a cap team. In other words, to go back to how things were done under Holmgren. To his credit, I believe Fletcher held them off and didn't go crazy. Most of that may be because of the landscape in the NHL. I'm assuming that the pressure will be even greater due to this season and I think the Flyers are in a very dangerous spot.
Note that I did not state that they have overreacted to this season. Perhaps you need to review what I actually posted. - MJL
Wow, why would we ever want an owner that wants the team to be relevant? Who wants an owner that wants to spend money and get great players? You're right, we should be seriously concerned that the Flyers might go back to WINNING!! |

You've made the wrong reads on all 3 situations. For one, for most of the time leading up to the trade deadline, Fletcher was in buyer mode. When you're the buyer, you normally initiate the phone calls. Once Fletcher was out of buyer mode and became a seller, I guarantee he received plenty of phone calls concerning Laughton.
Second as far as Gostisbehere is concerned. It is not that teams weren't interested in Gostisbehere as a player. It's that they not interested in taking on term at the deadline. Look at the moves that were made? Players with term with I think a couple of exceptions, were not moved. It is the landscape of the league.
Thirdly, are you actually aware of how much salary was retained by the Flyers in the deals? Around 500K total in both deals. This was done so teams could fit the player in and save caps space for other deals they wanted to try and me.
You're trying to badly, insinuate that the Flyers have lousy players, so this is why all of this happened. It's a poorly thought out narrative. - MJL
I don't have to insinuate the Flyers have bad players, their record speaks it for all to hear!
