Whom am I trading it to? The people who will do the trade are likely a top 10 club. That means I am getting 3 players outside top 20 odd for Couts?
No. We can do better I think. - PT21
ha. to be fair you are the one i would think who would have been most likely to jump on that, but yes you're reading the hypo as i meant it. it avoids signing him to a deal which you dont want to do, and it gives you more draft ammo. (while likely increasing the odds that the flyers own pick is high).
I do think pretty highly of coots, but it might be tough to get much much more with the next contract on the horizon. |

Giroux will be protected. If he wasn't, Seattle would take him in a heartbeat.

Bill if giroux wasn’t protected do you think the kraken would swoop him up? I see no risk due too contract
Huge giroux fan btw - PhillaBully
He has a NMC so he is required to be protected. But the Flyers currently have space for everyone they want to protect. |

Have to think Morin knocks Wilson out with one punch tonight. That would be my prediction. |

Yeah, I know. But I would try to be a bit more targeted.
Lets say Tampa loses to Avs. Stamkos injured again. TB sees window starting to close.
Can we pry Cirelli from them, and they trade Stamkos in the off season with money withheld?
Something akin to that. |

Wilson will be laughing as Morin chases him around all night. LAvy will drool over that match up. |

true, but then that creates a potential cap problem for them to resign him. i can see coots fitting on ice with any team, but you would think a team willing to fork over some assets wants to resign him.
of course its harder to name players/teams so i always am interested to see who people throw out. that being said, i think the 90 percent odds on likelihood is the flyers resign him for something like 7 years 8 mil a pop. |

You are under my skin? Love to hear that explanation. Not a huge point; it is rather simple. Figure it out.
Any thoughts on another black man getting snuffed out by the po po?

No, no.
Cirelli + Stamkos would more than clear space. That is why I mentioned that. Cirelli is signed for 4-5 mil odd, iirc. Bridge deal. |

Would have to get a much better player back than Cirelli as the center piece to trade Couturier if that is what you're implying.

Any chance fletcher has the cajones and cap room to go after Jones? You think York makes the team next year? I don’t know where I read this, or if remember it accurately but doesn’t Jones have ties to Philly? I think the thing slowing this team down is not being able to move the puck out of the zone. Jones and York might help out in that department |

Yeah, for sure, for what my assessment is worth (which is not that much ).
But imo, he may never get to Couts level but he should be worth a couple of Selke finalist short lists. |

This was addressed to black member of our board. This piece of poop constantly harasses a selected target and makes personal attacks and suggestive posts against other posters family members. He is a habitual line crosser and repeat offender on his 4-5th account. I cant believe you havent banned him by his IP....get it the (frank) together |

well i would assume your preference would be to resign him and have part of the solution moving forward. you dont strike me as the complete tear down model so that would require obviously the sort of deal you cant refuse to move.
if youre of the mindset of completely dropping the etch a sketch, i dont think thats a horrible starting point for negotiations from the other side when you consider the type of team that would be interested in the that kind of deal and then have to resign him. |
