I've said this before, ask Obie, this team will be very good in 2-3 years (the time for kk and Suzuki to mature) at which point Weber won't be of any help. as for Price... he's already way overpaid.

Problem is who replaces Weber, Price, and Petry in that time? We're not getting equivalent prospects in the pipeline to replace them and they are only going to get even worse. We likely won't have a #1 dmen or goalie by that time.

Mostly Weber and Price, I see Petry still playing in 5 years, if there is any way Ottawa can take Weber’s contract and Primeau can become a star we are good

if they keep both Weber and Price, which is probably what they're gonna do, they don't have enough cap space to get really better. too much $$$ invested in a #1G who plays 50 games.
if they trade them, there's no guarantee they will be able to replace them to become a better team. but at least they'd have a chance, which option 1 doesn't give them.
