In hindsight... and knowing what both players went for... are you happier with Carter at 50% than Eric Staal? |

I wanted Staal more. I liked his history with Zucker and thought that would help Zuck snap out of his funk. But I think it's a toss up. Carter still looks like he has the legs to keep up which might give him an edge. |

Much happier with Carter than Staal. I think he is the better player and he is another righty who can shoot the puck which I think was needed. |

Yes the schedule has been in the Penguins favor lately. Thursday's game against Philadelphia could be the last game we play with playoff implications. Boston may or may not be battling for a birth in the playoffs. Washington will have clinched a spot, the Flyers could be eliminated next time we meet. Basically the schedule isn't getting tougher.
As far as opponents in the playoffs, all teams will be tough and playing well. Being the underdog isn't necessarily a bad thing, low expectations, less disappointment. Just win one round and I'll be happy. |

Carter may have slowed down skating wise but he's still got his hands. I still think he's a good skater. |

Thanks Feds, never disappoint. Idk I do like that Carter is right handed. If the PP begins to decline it does give you a decent option on the LW wall. |

No, I finally just read what he wrote. |

A healthy top 6 moves Carter to the 3rd line with either Zucker or McCann. From there you can tweak the bottom 6 to what works best. Maybe plug ERod with McCann and Carter just to give them a speedy forechecker.

I tend to agree. I'm surprised because Carter would have never been on my radar...But given the two options.... Carter has more versatility for the holes we might need to plug... Is a better skater... And does have a couple rings for whatever that's worth.
I'd go with Carter realizing neither one makes a huge difference.
Still rather we got Brown to be honest. |

Jank there if Gaud is injured I guess. Although I'd rather Lafferty take the spot if Gaudreau is out. |

Don’t worry. Madden is a wrestling fan who pretends he knows about hockey and the pens. Trust ek over anything he says. |
