I was never a Chris Osgood fan. But the one thing I always admired about him was his ability to shake off bad goals and bad games. I think he learned it from Mike Vernon when he was a young goalie. It's always "on to the next game." Any successful goalie needs to have short term memory.
- gergeswillems

True.
But their short term memory can start after theyve answered a few questions about the current game they just played. Voice their feelings, end interview and move on. It could be part of the process.

He’s had a couple bad games but i’d still rather the giraffe at 3c

Hyman Engvall Mikey

Put Lou Foligno with the Matthews line.

That’s my 2 cents

- Garnie

I think he will get some time there to see how it works out (and he and AM played together in a world championship I think?)

That being said I still like:

Tony Montana - AM - Micthell
Lou Foligno - JT - Slick Willy
Hyman - Engvall - Soup (HEM LINE BABY!!!)
Kerplunk - Savard - Spezz-daddy

Wayne Train & Jumbo to roll in/out depending on who is playing well, hurt etc.

I think something pretty close to that is the core although it might change a lot depending on who they play and how the game proceeds. They might cannibalize the 4th line (take Nash) and second line (drop Willie) to protect a lead

Really? You consider Nylander worst defensively than Galchenyuk on that 2nd line?

Good lord.

I kinda' felt the same but then I thought about it and wondered if it was more that many of these odd man rushes seem to end up as goals (regardless of who is in net) and because of that we think there are too many odd man rushes?

I'd be interested in knowing if the Leafs give up more/less or about the same as other teams. I couldn't find any stats in my quick google check search.

I will say the Leafs give up way too many odd man rushes when they are on the terrible power play. Maybe they should just go simple on the pp for awhile and jam up the front of the net with bodies and hammer pucks from the point looking for tips and rebounds and get some ugly PP goals to get that PP going.

There seems to be very minimal outrage on here about the .875 SV % from the Leaf goalie last night which is a nice change.

Go Leafs Go

.854 from the game before.

My favourite yahoo fantasy hockey thing is when you pick a guy up off free agency in a 17 team full roster league and he becomes your "top player over the last week"

My 1st place team is surprisingly bad, worst 1st place team ever

I didn’t explain my myself clearly. It’s not so much that Willie is off that line over Gally as much as he starts to make new lines that see more time pulling people from whatever line# they’re on. Hyman, Marner, Matthews, Foligno, Nash, Kerfoot or whoever else is playing gets put together. It’s why we’re seeing weird lines now

I don't think it would be wise to have a guy face his old team, 10 hours after arriving in town on a plane with them.

Just seems weird.
