No point presence at all and one hit and the whole play dies.

You can't get worse.

Someone other than Rielly on the point.

- Aetherial

Yes I agree at this point.

He's been OK, not been on much.
- Aetherial

He keeps doing some nifty moves, then gives it away.

He needs to relax a little - too nervous with the puck.

Bench Thornton.

Yeah, I said it.

- Atomic Wedgie

They seem to be of the give him more PP time and occasionally sneak him up the lines mentality.

I don't think it's working any differently than it was the last 5 times they tried it.

Can anyone give a valid reason as to why Rielly is on the powerplay at this point? He has Chad Kilger like hockey sense

Robertson is in the lineup.

Yeah, I haven’t noticed him either.

- Atomic Wedgie

He's played like 5 minutes.

Man, I'd like to see Wayne Train get back into form.

I said it a couple games ago but the pp is so bad it’s time to throw the grinders out there.

Throw mikhayev, hyman, simmonds, dermott and some other random.

Shake it up and try and crash the net and get some greasy goals.

What does this have to do with trying someone other than Rielly on the point?

Embarrassing
- Atomic Wedgie

That doesn't even describe it.

Rielly killed half of it himself with back to back horrible plays. When was the last time the Powerplay had a point shot? Hell, they can't even hold it in or complete a pass. The forwards fight through zero checks.

Honestly, might as well just roll with 5 forwards at this point.

If a pp's not work, go with the Jim Ralph plan. Traffic in front, hammer it from the point.

I agree. Doesn't even have to be those guys. When Matthews first came back from the wrist injury (I think it was against Winnipeg), he really couldnt shoot so he camped out on the top of the crease and tipped in a goal. They put two guys in front of Hellebucq. Why not try that again?

We don’t have any point hammers.

We have a bunch of guys with 85 flex sticks.

But you haven’t had a good point shot since Phaneuf.

Rielly is Ian White 2.0

And Phaneuf never hit the net.

Gardiner had an underrated shot.

Rielly used to hit the net with that low wrister.
