I quit cold turkey.
My oldest was 7 months old and i hated always changing my shirt, scrubbing my hands and arms and washing out my mouth every time i wanted to hold him after i went out for one.
So i quit after one new years eve.

Every once in awhile I'll have a cigarette. Sun shining on the patio or golf course, or 6 beers in.

Usually I'll smoke half and put it out, sometimes I'll go back for another.

The smell is gross, that first puff is usually gross. But sometimes it's delicious... and frankly I love the act of smoking. If it wasn't bad for me I'd keep smoking.

Well I started in January 2021 rather than July 2020 as originally intended so that was fun. Luckily my boss in Kingston was happy to keep me for another 6 months so I remained gainfully employed.

Aside from that I came to the US on Jan 6th (aka Insurrection Wednesday) and caught Covid at the border (literally my only time indoors that wasn't my place in PA between testing negative in Hamilton and being tested again by the school) so that was (frank)ing fantastic Luckily I was one of the asymptomatic folks and wasn't around anyone to spread it

Probably tried about five in total when I was in grade 7.

It resulted in my on all fours on the ground, coughing uncontrollably.

It was a humiliating experience in junior high school, but damn am I ever grateful now that it was physically impossible for me to smoke cigarettes.

Just bumped into a neighbour I haven't seen in a few months.
