I wonder if the return on Hall would have been better if he had a lower cap hit. The $4 million the Bruins took on pretty much ends their deadline activity, assuming they don't have any legal and viable LTIR plays that could free up money to play some more. I'm kinda surprised that they didn't find a third team to further reduce the hit to Boston. Hall has had a terrible year, also, so the risk is that he continues in this fashion for his new team. If he was having a Hart Trophy caliber season, no doubt he costs more.
